When I created my first (and only) Hotmail account, I used a really obscure name. Within two hours I had spam, and I hadn't even used the email address yet.
I quickly learned that the Hotmail account was only good for submitting in those situations that would probably generate spam, and it sounds like with this DAV exploit that it'll continue to catch spam. Anyone who uses Hotmail for anything other than spam catching is masochistic.
After talking to some of the foreign tech support folks, I really believe that there is some pointy-haired boss somewhere looking at the call time numbers and marvelling at how low they are, not realizing that people are hanging up because they cannot understand what the heck the tech support person is saying.
Damn, I used to play a lot of Unreal Tournament while working tech support. If violent video games made for violent people, it wouldn't be called "going postal" it'd be called "going technical".
They don't have to make me watch commercials. Are they going to also make sure that I don't get up during those commercials to get more food & drink, use the restroom, or surf the other channels until my show comes back on?
The commercials are there for people who want to watch them, plain and simple.
No it's not. It's a list of features on the side of the box that anyone can read and figure out for themselves whether it lets them watch TV their way. Bait and switch is "an illegal tactic in which a seller advertises a product with the intention of persuading customers to purchase a more expensive product".
A company has the right to add and remove features from their products as they see fit. A consumer has the right to not buy those products based on whether that feature set is one that they feel is what they are looking for at the price that they are willing to spend.

I wonder if any early-produced products will be somehow unlockable to the faster speed.

I've seen one and two on the big screen, and I couldn't discern a plot. What makes you think that someone will be able to do it over a webcam?
Let's hope it's like Big Brother, and they let the folks in the UK control everything, so we can see REAL turmoil. Those folks are brutal!
The US folks are too namby pamby, as witnessed by the first Big Brother, which in the end pitted nice guy against nice guy.
They may have said Linux, but the request for massive amounts of storage give them away that they are wanting to run a Microsoft OS.
...do you think that this would happen?
Ya might wanna know that she's been file shared a bit herself, if ya know what I mean.
Better scan for viruses before you stick that on your hard drive.

Sorry dude, she was my ex-girlfriend, too.
"That tired argument is so dead."
It's not dead. It's Canadian.
They make a mini Mag-Light?
I knocked myself unconscious more than once answering my Nokie/Mag-Light combo.
Playing a WAR SIM one-handed? What kind of a sicko ARE you?
I just looked down at the gel-filled wrist rest in front of my keyboard and had a very impure thought.
That's nothing! I've got a list of Conservative Freaks that people are WILLINGLY signing up to! THAT has gotta be worth ten g's, at LEAST!
Software doesn't pirate DVDs...PEOPLE pirate DVDs.
In America, it usually matters more the disparity between the net worth of the "victim" and the "criminal" than the crime itself.
I can't wait until they find out that, in Latin America, the "Super No Go" isn't going to sell any better than the normal "No Go".
Not quite. This is actually a repost from about 83 million years ago.
...will it do something like this?
Not true. While Gates sells stock almost weekly, Ballmer hardly ever sells stock, according to this blurb.
Of course, this could have been written by a NY Times journalist so take it with a grain of salt.
I fear that the same thing can be said for Slashdot. :\

Don't feel guilty and save it as a PNG. I saved it at quality 6 and got it down to about 34k.
