    Not that I agree with Germany's restrictions on speech but I'd say it much more a desperate attempt to avoid another authoritarian governemnt

    No, thats not what I said - If he was anywhere but in an embassy it would be totally unjistified. But as he is in an embassy it puts the equadorian government in the position of being seen to support someone trying to influence the electon in the US. Diplomats arent supposed to do that

    From a diplomatic perspective its probably the right call for the equadorian government - haveing a person under their protection affecting the US election would be seen as interferance And of course they can use this as an example of diplomatic condut when they next have an election...

    Microsoft's AI keeps embarrassing them. It's like they thought their corporate image problem from being a ham-handed OS monopoly wasn't big enough: they needed to automate gaffes.

    Just think of it as the first steps of a new thing. Be interesting to see this develop

    I wonder how many of that 500 are PS4 exclusives though. Most Ganes this generation seem to be multi-platform (yes, Halo 5 I know - but there do see to be less exclusives that I remeber from previous generations)

    Is the Admiral suffering from dementia, or is he just a fucking idiot? The attack on the Cole was successful because the rules of engagement did not allow the Cole to fire upon the boat.

    If being able to fire on boats (or use a drone swarm like the proposed) is going to be a requirement for a us ship to visit a port, there are going to a lot less ports for them to refuel at.

  14. I'd say no, no voting method is perfect but imo online voting has the most chance of getting more people to vote. There me be a slight increase in fraud, but as long as it can be kept to a minor level I'd say that its worth it to increase turnout

    On the one hand you say bots ruin the game, and on the other you complain about Blizzard shutting down WoW Glider. Well, which is it? Should they support botting or not?

    IMO My problem with the WOW Glider was blizzard interfering with another company's program simply because it interfaced with WOW sets a bad precedent and (to me) is an intrusion on the freedom of the user. Not that I like bots but they should catch then by there in game actions.

    With all this talk about graphics performance, I'd say the best weapon consoles have at the moment is physical gaming controls Touch Screens are wonderful for many things but unless the ipad 3 generation are a massive improvement, then any game that plays best with d-pad and buttons will still lack something on tablet/phone.

    Note to slashdot: It'll be hard to maintain whatever shred of journalistic veneer and integrity you have left if you start posting advertisements for sister websites as 'sponsorships' of semi-legitimate discussions or stories. The fact that everyone else does it is still no excuse.

    While the whole sponsored ask slashdot does seem a bit off, at least the posts from the sponsors are clearly marked. As long as that continues maybe it wont be too bad. (On the assumption that they dont allow sponsorship from any really evil companies)
