None. Nada. Zilch. I was hardcore Redhat since pre RH3 (before that I was a Slackware zealot). Once they released the new installer for Debian I decided to give it a run. HOLY CRAP, what an amazing OS. Rock solid. All the packages "just work" with one another 99% of the time. Pretty amazing OS, if you haven't tried Sarge with the new installer you are really missing out.
As far as the desktop, after trying FC4t1 and noticing practically zero actual technological advancement I decided to try out Ubuntu. Nice desktop OS. Once 5 is out with xorg as the default xserver I'm switching my workstations at work over to it from Fedora.
I've used it for 3 years now, why buy software when you can get nearly the exact same functionality ina webbased app? They transfer your old data from year to year so you have to type practically nothing. They also support importing W-2's from companies like ADP (check processing). Its not OS but its also not a waste of plastic and paper like the desktop products.
Atleast i think thats what it was called. It was table top game where you raced chariots around a colosseum. I played it at an RPG group gathering when I was in college (mid 90s). It was a ton of fun, Don't remember exactly what it was called but Colosseum sounds right.
that i regularly have seen breakages with stable hardware upon upgrading from one "stable" kernel release to the next. Granted most of them have been ACPI.. which is just a joke. All I gotta say in 2.7 please.
It offers on-demand video, HD and recording multiple shows at the same time. The user interface is a joke. They recently changed the 'Movies' section to start off in the center of the on-demand listings so if you wanna scroll to the list of movies for the channels you already pay for you have to scroll for awhile. I find that VERY disappointing. It really is the worst UI i've ever encountered in a product. I'm not sure what they were thinking.
This is a st.louis company.. originall called (funny enough).. St. Louis Bread Company. Used to go there to eat there twice a week on my diet until they decided that my favorite sandwich actually had 400 more calories than they originally reported it as. Really f**kin nice:(
We've got 10 solaris boxes right now running solaris 8 and we're going to move everything to Debian running on Dell servers. I thought about keeping them around with Solaris 10 but I don't like Sun's licensing or their tactics.
mentioned on slashdot. first that one post about the software/hardware company whose crappy programming killed those radiation patients in south america. And now the great Tim Roberts former CEO of B.I.G. (broadband investment group). I almost went to work there and if you can believe it, one of my references (I don't list them on my resume anymore) back fired and I wasn't able to get the job. I'm lucky that way;)

I had/have problems with my volume/mixer controls with apps like windows media player. I disabled all the additional security features they added though. I'm sure I would have seen more headaches had I not.
My biggest gripe is having to go into a menu and compact the folders to expunge deleted messages. With outlook express.. I've got cntl-d all my messages and hit the 'Purge' button on the top of the screen. With Evolution I've got cntl-d all my messages and cntl-e to expunge.
When you get a lot of email using thunderbird becomes a serious pain in the ass when you organizing/deleting messages:(
have anything to do with a decrease in quality; increase in pricing over the last 3 years; and a general bad taste left in everyones mouth about the recording industry in general. Nope its the music traders. Gimme a f**cking break.

Probably about the time they decide to drop the SuSE name and just call it Novell. :)

to the main site when the referer isn't from their domain. granted it'll only work for 99.99999% of all browser that sent the referer header. ;)

most everyone in the company finds it pretty annoying to use and the UI looks like it was designed by a 10yr old.
;) I do agree on the "looks" though, they are pretty lame.
Personally I love bugzilla and they have to use it cuz I say so

if you dig up a grenade or a morter you don't stick around to take pictures of it.. this chick is digging on borrowed time if you ask me :)

heheh .. he said penetration.
its still a closed OS (the interesting parts are anyway) that is way freaking over priced and the hardware is ridiculously expensive.
since when does slashdot post this kinda stuff? :)
I thought for sure that I read somewhere that they did.
they replace all the default icon's for whatever codecs they support. Now that sucks ass.
or does it do 99% of the work for you like other modern distros?

Of a failing company suing other people in the face of change. :(
