But that's not as bad as the person getting control of the business. Even if she gets half of your shares, the money stays in the company and you can spend her money however you want. The worst she could do is sell your shares and keep the money. The severity of that depends on how many shares she sells.
I believe if you incorporate the business, then there isn't any "owner" of the business. The business is its own entity. The only person who has control of the business would be someone who owned 51% of the shares or more. So the only way for your gf to own half the business is if she bought half the shares.
Incorporating isn't something only big businesses can do. If you're a small business, look at an S-Corp or an LLC. I'm planning on incorporating my small business when I start.
Does this mean it will have lots of pretty graphics and effects with little actually substance and meaning behind it? Like other things titled "Reloaded"?
You can't tell the difference between a VOIP phone and a non-VOIP phone. What if there's an emergency at someone's house and they use a VOIP that didn't have a 911 number? The person in the emergency situation may not know this and try dialing 911. They end up getting who-knows-what when they are expecting help.
The stressful nature of emergencies makes it hard to think and people have it drilled into them to dial 911 in an emergency. If 911 doesn't work, the situation could get much worse.
Just imagine dialing 911 because someone's bleeding out on the floor and getting an advertisement asking you if you'd like to buy this number.
Hopefully this will get the US to start a space race with China! Just to make sure, everyone tell Bush that if China gets a man on Mars first, that proves that the president of China has a bigger penis than the president of the US.
People want games where they can interact with other people. They want a more social atmosphere to go with their gaming and this is a gap LAN centers have been created to fill. Check out lanparty.com and igames.org for a listing of sites. LAN centers have competitions for prizes and money. Some even have overnight LAN parties. I think of LAN centers as social center, like a bar except for smart people.:)
LAN centers are the next evolutionary step in the high tech social scene.
For some reason moz wiped out the part of the message that was highlighted in my above post when submitting. Here's what I was saying:
Although this was before my time, the university I went to (WPI) used to have a board on it with all the known urls at the time. Every few days someone would add another url to the board. Ah, the days when you really could print the whole Internet out.
Let's all invest our money in SCO stock! With the luck we're all having with corporate abuse and the IT industry in general, the stock is bound to plummet after we invest in it.
I just viewed ALL the photos on the site BEFORE it got slasdotted! Where's my award?!
How about pictures of the old Viking probe?

Didn't this rover land near the old Viking probe sent down in the 70's? How about sending the rover off on it's last mission to get a picture of the Viking Probe? NASA could see how the probe has held up all these years. NASA would also get mad props too.:)
How about going to a LAN center and renting time out to play a game? Let the center handle the buying and upgrading the hardware and buying software. You can play a game, find out it sucks and then move onto the next one for only a few dollars.

What's the real Mhz on the 4000+ chip? I'm sick of AMDs false advertising. The benchmarks on Toms Hardware constantly shows AMDs false cpu rate underperforming Intels real CPU rate.
Looking at Toms now, AMDs 3200+ chip benches slower than Intels P4 2.8.
It looks like sending love to Eugenia is on by default in the file selector. I always hated having to goto a bash shell after opening a file and doing an "echo love >/home/eugenia/warm_fuzzies".
"By American" has been the battle cry of factory workers for years, especially factory workers in the automotive industry. Yet how many foreign cars do you see on the road every day? Consumers and corporations both go to wherever the lowest price is.
I recently applied to SCO a few weeks ago for a software engineer position. Now with the current state of the economy, I have been unemployed for almost a year now. I have only had 2 interviews and most companies don't even bother to reply to my resume. So, for the fun of it, I applied to a position at SCO. A few hours later I got an email from the hiring department asking me if I was willing to relocate to UT from MA. If so I can immediately come in for an interview.
Of course I turned it down. I'd rather live off my savings account than truely scar my resume by saying I was employed by SCO on it.
In all seriousness, just how does one go about finding a job in India? I've always wanted to visit India, Nepal and other countries in that area. Being an unemployed programmer makes it even more enticing as I see more and more IT jobs going to India.
Most Indians speak English so language shouldn't be an issue, but how does someone find a job there? How do you find a place to live, or learn about the cultural differences?

Did anyone else see the photo and think Junkyard Wars: Race to Space?
I like games, she likes to talk, why not combine the two?
Whenever my gf calls to talk, I load up counter strike and turn off the volume. It's a great combination that gets me through the whole conversation.

I've been unemployed for a while too, but I'm not that desperate for a paycheck.
Having there system lockup, poweroff and then getting blasted in the face with sunlight.
Someone should point Darl to an Al Quada encampment and tell him to go demand license fees from them.
But I'm a quadriplegic...
