Actually, if you use a tablet, you just need to slide your finger to the left from the right side of the screen. It's made so that you have to use either bottom right or top right corner of a screen with a mouse so that you don't accidentally open it.
Get with the times and stop bitching about change. No one likes change.
Do you remember a long time ago when people used to complain about a mouse-driven user interface? How did that turn out? How long did it take you to adapt to Windows 95's start menu after being used to use the Program Manager? When did you stop changing your Windows 7 taskbar settings to make it look more like in Windows XP?
Just... get used to it. You'll have to adapt to it eventually, so you might as well enjoy the process.
That's not the point. The point is, if Apple gets this stuff patented, they could sue other companies for patent infringement because their way (ie. the way everyone else is doing induction charging right) is too similar to Apple's designs. And they could win because the courts are too stupid to understand modern technology.
He had a reason to install spyware on his son's computer. If you're gonna act like a private citizen, you better have a damn good explanation for violently breaking down someone's door just to bust him for pot.
They don't have 3G towers in North Korea... I think.
If they do, they're probably being controlled by the government, anyway, so the access is still restricted.
Alright, let's say it's change, not progress. Why do you think that it's Microsoft that's forcing you to adapt to a new interface? Seeing as how popular iPads are nowadays, do you think it's a dumb move for Microsoft to create an operating system with a revised interface that works great on both desktops/laptops and tablets?
Yeah, but you have to think about the legality of this system. If the person hosting the files does not have permission from the creator to share them, it could cause a lot of problems, lawsuits and such. And your ISP ratting you out to the DMCA or whoever handles digital copyright laws.
It's probably like those "Do Not Track" flags in web browsers. Basically, the websites can choose to ignore that flag and track you anyway. Probably the same kinda deal here.
the best you can do is chose the one who the press pays the most attention to living up to what he says he will do.
Currently that means only Republicans.
To be fair, the Republican party got a lot of media attention in part because they had, like, 6 people running for the position of a Republican candidate (I'm awful with terminology).

They're gonna cross it with Post Mortem/Still Life world, right?
Or November 2nd, which, incidentally, is my birthday.

But I liked Clippy...
There's no streaming on the little Wii, but I get your point.
Oh wow, it already has a Wikipedia article
It's funny how I don't get pissed off that there's a part of Manhattan that's filled with Chinese people.

Oh, those poor Nintendo nerds...

Why do you hate progress?
He's saying that cars are meant to be driven, not flown, like desktops and laptops are meant to not have touchscreens.
Your console has E.T. the Extra-Terrestrial.
Actually, I started at 0. Don't know why, I haven't used Slashdot long enough to know everything about the commenting system.

You didn't get the joke, did you?
Guys, I'm really stupid when it comes to chemistry and stuff... How would xenon escape into space if it's denser than any other (barring one) gases?
Throw in some Steam achievements and you got yourself a deal.
