Why is any religion not of Christian origin called a "cult"?
This is simply incorrect. Major world religions with some history behind them are not called cults while many sects that have their roots in Christianity are considered cults.
That being said, I wonder how they managed to cull the genetic goofs that cloning invariably leads to?
I would imagine their story would be that the aliens taught them how to goof-proof the process.
People without arms or hands would be rightly able to sue the grocery store.
Would that just be the people without left arms or hands who would be rightly able to do that?

We dont bother to get to know our doctors, we just rush in, expect instant healing, and want to be about our business again.
If your doctor has a very small case load this is possible, but how many doctors are going start a cascade effect that makes the next 20 patients have to wait even longer just because you'd like to chat? The person in room 8 needed extra time because their condition warranted it and the emergency that had to be worked in already took another half-hour from the patients to follow.
The best you can do is get to know the doctor during well visits (annual physicals and such) and less demanding medical conditions to build confidence in their abilities. If you do have opportunity to chat with the doctor you're likely to mistake good bedside manner with competence and they don't always go hand-in-hand.
The problem with your 'get to know the doc' idea is that for critical, life-and-death medical decisions, your GP isn't likely to be the one calling the shots anyway. You're probably going to find yourself in the care of some trauma team in the ER or under the knife of some specialist in the OR and you may never meet the doctor until the deed is done.
And why do the images on the front page say "click for larger TIFF images" when they bring up JPGs. Sounds like some dual screen elitist crap.
The images (which don't say anything) have a caption that says, 'Click Image to Enlarge'. Clicking the image does indeed give a larger.jpg but clicking on the link below the caption, which says, 'Click here for Large TIFF image' gives a.tif image.
I'm not sure what 'protability' is, but this would be just as portable as a laptop because it's basically two laptop sized screens that fold together. Unless your laptop has an inspector gadget keyboard and screen that folds multiple times (with cartoon sound effects?) and slips into your pocket you have not made a valid point.
That really wasn't the question though, was it? Pointing out that most ogg players also handle mp3 doesn't help someone looking to play ogg rather than mp3. Now, if your contention was that there weren't very many mp3 players that don't also play ogg it might have been considered helpful information.
I just kept after Yahoo until I found someone who cared enough to track down the offending account (it's a simple database query really) and the messages stopped. Don't remember if it was abuse@Yahoo.com or a telephone number I found (I think it was email) but just being persistent and letting them know you've tried repeatedly to contact them regarding the problem will eventually yield results.
The workgroup email list at Intel sending messages to my pager was harder to deal with.
mksysb is great and comes with AIX. You might want to check out sysback as well (doesn't come with the system but has some additional functionality that can be nice).
I was only familiar with 'Ladle Rat Rotten Hut' before stumbling onto the site. I think someone who 'gets it' could probably do it without the book. Think of it as a puzzle to be solved.

The root word of 'engineer' as in the one who creates is not engine, its genius.
Well, Dang! There's the problem. The current crop of engineers is sub-standard.....
That may be true, but not for the reasons stated.

And what of those who pick the nits of other nitpickers (and those of us even farther down/up the picking order who pick their nits)?
Door handles. The door handles are like a sports car's.
So, you can get your kicks on rowte 66? I think not! Besides, how do you differentiate your route from a rout now?
Wooden legs for birds and a gaggle with bladder control issues?
I thougt Evolution was available for Windows now (though I can't seem to find a link in a quick Google).

Our story was posted on the /. in the alternate universe as well as our own. The rift is widening. We should be able to invade soon.
You mean besides putting beans in the MREs?
....given enough time lost of things are possible...
Was your use of the term 'lost' in conjunction with the invisible car theme? Everybody, remember where we parked...
According to a ring of kidney thieves I know, Mel has already been through this.
While I want my hard drive backup to be an exact copy, I'd prefer it if my face backup looked a little more like Bruce Campbell, thanks.
Boy, you'd be one funny looking chick....
We are allready spicing human genes into pigs so they can grow human organs.
Sounds fair enough. We've been spicing pigs to make sausage for quite some time.....
....or do you not even pay attention if your PC is Windows or Mac?
Sheesh! It's OS/2 WARP
You must use your cell phone differently than I do.
