    I don't think my router is interfering since I've used bittorrent getting other things with lightning speed. Just checked it this morning and it's still in the single digits. Can the tracker get too much work to do, and is it possible that would slow things down?

    I'm getting about 1kb/sec right now, after having it on for about an hour. Pretty darn slow, frequently get triple digits per sec when downloading other "things". Is bittorrent suited for slashdot size downloading?

    I've met people who believe that dinosaurs are a hoax by scientists to get famous. It's hard to have meaningful conversations about these things when you can't agree on a starting point.

    Nothing on earth is more annoying than the Nextel walkie talkie feature. If people used them the way you say it wouldn't be too bad, but morons on the train that have entire conversations on them are more painful than Chinese water torture.
    I propose a world wide ban on walkie talkie phones.

    I drive like a car thief, never open the hood except to add window washer fluid. I get the oil changed every 15-20 thousand miles. The only things I've replaced on my 8 year old Civic are tires, brakes and the muffler (I hit a large rock someone had placed strategically in the middle of the road). It's almost at 200K miles and still gets me around 36 miles/gallon. My previous car was a 10yr old Accord that got stolen with well over 200K miles, they're lucrative for chop shops

    More on the larger topic outsourcing. I wonder what percentage of workers reading slashdot are employed by foreign companies? Would those complaining about outsourcing be willing to give up their jobs to back up their principles?

    If you're only 22 what movies that your kids have any interest in seeing require pre-screening? Not much to protect them from in Wiggles and Barney videos. Sorry, forgot, those do include dinosaurs and since there's no mention of them in the bible they must have never existed.

    It's pretty amazing what kind of people are allowed to be on the road. The drunk or high guy I mentioned above was in the class for his 12th or 13th time, another was there for doing 80 in a 25 past an elementary school. At some point you have to draw the line and not give people another chance.

    I bought a tiny flash mp3 player specifically to use when I run. Biggest annoyance is I can't stop in the middle of a file and pick up where I left off which is desirable when having audiobooks in single files. Should have checked the features.
