The most common reason for the games appearing in black and white seem to be that your TV does not support NTSC (or PAL60).

If you are sure your TV does support that, have you tried holding 'B' when the game boots up? You usually get a 60mHz option appearing.

Of course this is assuming you have a PAL console.

There are no such things as levels in UO.
There is a non-PvP land to all servers.
And the real give-away.. 'Fun-quests'.. Arf.. good one.

Valve enabled the ability for the end-users to make their own mod(ification)s to the product Half-Life.

It was free, and now the most popular game on-line is one of those mods.

So make it free and be nice to those that take the effort to make the community. Things can happen as Counter-Strike shows.

I think you have watched far too many X-Files episodes.

This device is marketed towards parents worried about their children, and it's use is pretty clear.

I think it is still going too far, but it's no more exagerating the risks posed to children than you are with the whole 'big brother' thing.

When you wake up from your delusional state, maybe you will realise that not every one cares about your pr0n collection or where/when you paid/charged for your coffee.

  17. Blood from a stone on Scott Draeker Interview About Loki's Demise · · Score: 2, Insightful

Loki went out of business because not enough people paid them for their product. Whether or not it is a problem with the Linux community having to pay for software, or if it is because Linux does not have enough of the core gaming market is up for debate. Either way, you can't operate a profitble business without customers/users.

If Loki been able to get some big name games to the platform things may of been different. Sorry, but Postal is a crap game that was crap on PC and no amount of good will can make a 2-3 year old crap game a viable product.

Maybe they should of looked at the charts more and sold out. Who wants to be a millionaire? sold bucket loads. Yeah it is shallow, but it is mass market and a damn sight more likely to sell than The Return of Postal-Unplugged Special Edition.

Oh, and for all those people who say things like "I use Windows ONLY for games" why bother saying that? Does it make any difference if you use Windows for ONLY games or if you use Windows for everything? Do you feel proud that you pay the same amount to Microsoft for their operating system but don't use it for anything (apart from games)?
