All kidding aside, you should invest a good amount of time learning all three of the languages. In my high school we have an intensive technology program which teaches VB, C, C++, Java, Java Script, MIA and CAD. Not to long ago I asked my teacher why we needed to learn all these programs and languages. He responded by simply saying in his technology career, he's never had a job that used just one language. He also added that since the economy is shit employers will hire the people with the most experience and knowledge. Another instance would be an uncle of mine who works at Goldman Sachs. He had to master the Linux kernel as well as VB because these are the languages the servers run on. In the end, I think you should spend more time mastering what you know and then expanding your horizon.
This is excessive.
At home I have my two 160GB Seagate hard drives and an 8GB flash drive which I use when I'm on the go. What tom's has here is extremely overdone. This is just waste.
USB provides 5 +/- 0.25 volts if I remember correctly. Why not just use the regular wall outlet instead? It would charge your devices so much faster compared to USB.
Since the launch of Googles "Latitude" program, murder rates have gone up 64% due to boyfriends and husbands tracking their girlfriends and wives and seeing they were actually with their best friends instead of "food shopping". Ouch, that's gotta hurt!
Very good point. It seems like the EC is trying to grab some attention, there argument is pretty ridiculous. If they don't like/want IE, then they can go download another browser and then get rid of IE. ALL OS's come with a browser built in, Microsoft shouldn't have to make there's any different.
I don't see them complaining about Ubuntu or OS X. It might be because they only have about 10% of the market, but still.
If I ran a major gaming company, here's what I would do. (Internet Connection Required)
Make software CD's completely FREE. Yes, FREE. Lets take GTA4 for instance. You could go to Best Buy or whatever and walkout with the game but when you got home and wanted to play you'd have to make an account which you must log into before the game starts. In order to activate the account, you could either pay a monthly fee until the games fully paid for (you could stop payment at anytime if your not liking the game) or you could pay the total up front. And of course, only one person could log onto the account at a time.
Now lets say your friend decides he likes this game. You could lend him the CD and he could go make his own account ect.
It virtually eliminates piracy/DRM and makes everyone happy.
I think we can all agree that if the iPhone was on Verizon instead of AT&T, it would be even more popular then it is now. Verizon's network is far superior to AT&T's in terms of speed, reliability and coverage.
*sigh* I guess I will have to wait for Verizon to get a decent touch-screen phone. T Mobile has the G1...AT&AT has the iPhone...and Verizon has the drizzle. Oh, I mean the Storm*
Consoles aren't meant to have the cutting edge graphics or advanced hardware. If they were, then I'd be paying two grand for a high-end console. If your into all of that jazz, then you should invest in a good computer. Consoles should be like the Wii. Cheap and efficient.
To the tools who are asking "Have you ever played a console"? The answer is yes. Everything from XBOX to Atari to 64.
The Wii remote is accurate enough, for me anyway. I don't use my Wii for anymore then some Wii Sports, Super Mario and Zelda. Consoles aren't meant to be these uber lean mean fighting machines with top of the line parts. If I want that, Ill go play on my computer. Console gaming will never be more advanced then computer gaming and it shouldnt be.

It's been like this for the past few years. If your on a budget, go with AMD. If you have a little more dough to spend, go with Intel.
For writing this article you should be scored -1 flamebait! You should know better than to put things like this on /.
Does it run Lin-...You know what? It's time to start a new meme. How about "Does it run Vista?"
Another government agent is getting arrested...Pirate Bay is in trial...and on top of that Slashdot now has ads from Fox Business. Please shoot me.
The RIAA should take some notes. It doesn't matter how much money you spend, or how much you sue...you'll never stop P2P or anything like it.
The system is broken and you as well as I know it.

Now I can finally forget the day that ruined my life. It took me away from schoolwork, friends, family...it was horrible.
Now I can finally forget the day I joined Slashdot.
We all know that Windows Mobile and IE8 will come out on top as they are far superior to the competition.
MSI has to be the worst quality part maker on the market. I've had terrible experience with them.
If I was betting on it, I'd say ASUS would have the most profitable year.

Back to you in the newsroom Willy.
My superior technology gives me the moral right to impose my will on a technologically inferior culture called Slashdot!
He knows it.
We know it.
His shareholders know it. (Look what's happened to apples stock since his health concerns surfaced http://finance.google.com/finance?client=ob&q=NASDAQ:AAPL)
Face it, Apple will not be the same without this genius inventor. I pray that he will make a swift recovery and get back to his full strength.
This should be played after every bullet is fired.

I flirt with that hot female blood elf on WoW, you insensitive clod!
To clarify things, what I meant was as follows.

Look at the bright side. At least you could play crysis on that screen with an average video card.
This is almost as scary as the word googlesoft. THE HORROR!
