    there are basicaly two types of nerds those who like star wars and those who like star trek. there are plenty of nerds who like both, but if you push them they will eventually chose one or the other. now the other half of the nerds will have a mmorpg to play.

    for the love of christ, steve jobs please put a damn link light on the nics. this has been the one thing that has bothered me about macs. link lights are one of those things that you take for granted until you don't have one, trouble shooting is so much easier with link lights.

    format is your friend, rather than pay for 48 hours worth of trouble shotting (aka paying someone to run ad aware) do yourself a favor and back up your files and format that sucker. maybe even splurge a little and pay $199 for xp. this is why people under 15 and over 30 should not be allowed to touch computers.

    i thought this article was trite and very weak especially coming from tom's hardware, the one thing that really got my goat up was when the author said that new users should install everything. in my experience when most distros give you the option to install everything; every kind of server known to man is installed, and this will eat up every resource the computer has making it unusable. in short tom's hardware would have been better to say download red hat/fedora, burn cds, click next*10, ..., profit. it would have saved me ten minutes i no longer have
