Never heard of that distro, but there are a few well known games natively available under linux, Doom 3 amongst them. I got Steam + Half-life2 running on my Gentoo box really slowly on my Radeon under Wine though.
But, I've been looking all over for a new laptop with nvidia graphics and decent specs for around $1200, why are they such a royal pain in the ass to find? Anyone have any recommendations?
It's cool that they're rolling out mobile GeForce chips, but they going to jack the laptop price all the way to the moon?
Oddly enough, just the title of this article alone explained the threat much more clearly than the anchorwoman on TV at noon. Why do they even report tech stuff if they can't even explain the problem? Sorry, this is off topic but I felt like whining about something..
So far I'm fairly content with blockbuster's service, perhaps I'm just an idiot though, I don't know.
I've noticed that they ship out my next movie (usually) the day after I send one back to them, and then I typically get an email notification that the disc I had returned has be received 1 or 2 days after that. I don't know if they get notification from the USPS, or how it works, but it's nice.
Oddly enough, that reminded me of that crazy woman on the Grand Theft Auto radio station talking about how she makes her kids wear bathing suits when they take a bath, and mirrors aren't allowed in her household because they're evil.
I've been playing Dystopia since their first demo release a few months ago, and I've got to say it's a nice change of pace from the "realistic" Source games like Counter-Strike and Day of Defeat, not to mention the creative additions which make it far more interesting than most multiplayer FPS games. With all the cool cybernetic implants available for your player, you can be like Steve Mann with a minigun, invisibility, and the ability to turn yourself into a small nuclear explosive if you're on the brink of death! Oh what fun!
It always reminds me of that drooling kid that sits idly in a sandbox and throws a fit any time someone else wants to play with their tiny plastic shovel.
And with Hasbro's copyrights and trademarks on the Risk franchise, we are assured to always have official versions of Star Risk, Lord of The Risk, Risk Kong, Chronicles of Riskia, Spider-Risk, and of course, Harry Risker and the Riskerors Risk.

Indeed, I haven't met you, you very well may be a nice guy. I'm just a bit bitter from that ordeal, that was a very non-fun few days for me.
That aside, Linspire's common practice of re-branding GPL'ed software has always irked me though, and continues to do so.
