    And I guess they are trying to encourage Open Source Brotherhood, not realizing that most BSD users would prefer not to be associated with most Linux users.

    Really? that's why every linux convention thing I've been too, has had a BSD booth. Or almost all conversations with BSD users seem to involve Linux in some way. Please. A win for BSD is a win for Linux and vice versa. Soon as linux takes over the desktop BSD will win converts.

    Bullshit. I'm tired of hearing this. Innovation takes time, and it takes longer to get it right. There has never been more innovation in the history of the world than in the last 100 years or so. And people are constantly trying to innovate, but, most of it is done isn't done well enough for people to care.

    I think they've been quite honest about the whole thing. In an interview with some of the officers behind AA, they said nobody expects someone to play the game and then go join the army, this game opens up communication channels with a group that they may have had untaped(of course parphrased). They also said that it helps show the world(with the strong european AA community there is) how great the US Army is. SO they openly admit it's part propaganda and part recruitment tool.

    wrong. even though yer trolling or whatever..

    take all the primes up to a point, multiply them together and add 1, and you have a prime number.

    3 * 2 + 1 = 7, 2 * 3 * 5 + 1 = 31 ect

    just you. I think he's done a good enough job, don't aggree with everything he's done, but i think he'll do a better job than Kerry or Nader, so I'm voting for him again in november. And i'm certainly not alone in this opinion.

    IV, III he was somewhat of a good guy still., at the end of III you destroy the Kilrathi homeworld, or you get your heart squeezed and you die(or you get vaporized). IV is the whole black lance thing, which Towelyn(sp?) runs and gets hanged for, assuming you beat win the last segment.

    You can't? I can, if by torturing someone, you get information that saves countless lives, I'd call that justified.

    That said, I have no idea what they have/would/could of gotten out of this instance. And nore am I condoning it, but I'm not for outlawing it either.

    OK.. that's right.. that's why the EU is so much like the US huh. Wasn't it winston churchill who suggested that Europe should create a united states of Europe? mmm. The fact is america has already given the world so much. Maybe we'll lose our place as #1 soon. So what. I can't wait for that day so then people will stop bitching about how bad we are. But they'll take everything we've given to the world.

    I recall seeing a list of Al-Queda's top targeted countries, US was number 1 and I believe UK was 2 and Canada was 4. Anyhow Canada was in the top 5.

    OK they recieved a tip that certainly, if true would be extremely serious, so they took it seriously and this makes you paranoid? It's good to know that our government takes threats seriously until they can be proven not to be serious, as in this case. Makes you lose sleep? well it makes me sleep better.

    I personally think that too many funds are being diverted to sports activities rather than something that actually matters.

    I love this attitude that sports don't matter or that they are worthless ect. While I aggree that to much money is spent on them, they are infact a great thing for a person to be involved in. They teach things like teamwork, strategizing(sp?), getting along with people you don't like, discipline.. ect ect. If I was a parent, I'd rather have my children play sports than participate in mathclub. Learning Math and sciences are not essential (and there is plenty of time later to learn those things) to growing up. Learning the things you do playing sports are.

    Boy, how many times can right-wing be used in one post I wonder. The fact is, it's the same story anywhere. Left-wingers do the same thing, name any sort of semi-political organization and they'll do it, even if not intentional. I mean look how fair and balanced slashdot is...

    Also, I never once thought that Al Gore claimed to have invented the internet. Even when I heard it, I thought that it was to outragous of a claim to be made. And Then when I saw the interview it all made sense. I think it's silly that people don't use common sense when it comes to mudslinging or whatever else that gets spouted off.
