What if linux came out with a proprietary desktop, that could compete with sun, run linux and leverage the OSS movement. apple made that work so why not IBM think about it. would you pay 100$ for a linux based desktop with IBM backing it, has all the apps you need, and has a commercial interface.
This makes sense if you look at where IBM really makes its money, not desktops, not small servers, but the big guys.

This is a very good thing and ive been waiting for it to happen if you look at the aac license and the way apple worked it with the *AA its the least restrictive media out there. the problem has been that no other mp3 players can play it, this opens the door to dell, wall-mart and iriver to adopt the aac codecs into their systems. then if you want to use itunes, you can use your iriver, or wall-shit player or whatever, this is a very good thing, from what ive seen the wmp player is draconian at best. i would predict that in 1 year the aac codec will be on other mp3 players and maybe there will be one for linux.

That is the stupidest way to use liquid nitrogen. all you would need to do is use a small dropping utility. (very thin pipe and drop it onto a copper heatsink the nitrogen will vaporize and remove the proper heat, if you need more cooling then you give it a larger amount of nitrogen. it looks like they way over cooled the thing and they probably destroyed the mother board, its freaks like this that give geeks a bad name. but my real question is, why did they use a crappy Intel processor. why not a power 4 or a p970, or spark processor. those processor's are designed to scale and are built better. you could probably get 6 or 7 GHZ on a p970.
