They're not false advertising. The okcupid trends article simply picked up phrases that were in the profile. There's a difference between "I go camping all the time" and "I wish I did more camping", but both show up with "camping" in the profile. A lot of women may talk about nature and horseback riding even if they don't do it all the time (and according to TFA, this is the case).
It's the first movie that has ever had visuals like that. Why would you walk out? It's like walking out on the first "talkie" because the story was boring.
Bioware did the same thing with Dragon Age, at first. Just a CD key. But the downloadable content is different, and I didn't know that going in. You have to be logged into your account for it to work, and since your main game always has elements from the DLC, you can't play any game without being logged in.
The main annoyance is that it takes a while for the game to log you in. So anytime I start up the game, I have to walk away and come back 2-3 minutes later for the login to have completed, and for me to continue my game.
Yep, and as the employer they are YOUR toilets, you have the right to install cameras... oh wait, you don't. Okay but they're YOUR phones and if you want to tap them and listen in... damn, that's illegal for you to do as well.
Apparently the idea of privacy exists for other parts of the workplace, and we think that's okay. Why is it not appropriate when it comes to what's done on the computer?
Regardless of the non-state of the art of their vid cards, the same cards are (or were) running better when booting Windows on the same computer than under OSX. Hopefully they've fixed this.
I'm not criticizing judicial oversight, but think about what you're saying. The FBI trampling your freedom of speech is horrible and should be stopped, but the FBI plus one single judge doing it, and all of a sudden freedom and liberty have been fully and unquestionably restored. Never mind they can just find one activist judge who agrees with them and rubber stamps anything that comes through his office.
Scrolling past thumbnails shouldn't be an issue. A couple years back a guy was found innocent in a CP trial because he only had a couple images on his computer and they only existed in the browser cache. Since he hadn't saved them, there wasn't any proof that he even intentionally looked at them, and he was let go. Sorry I don't have a link, but I'm 90% sure there was a summary on this site.
a. May the cash be with you.
b. If you shoot me, I shall become more powerful than you can possibly imagine.
c. The power to rob a bank is insignificant next to the power of the force.
I think it quite reasonable for the law to allow pictures, video, and access point pinging by anyone in a public place, and still disallow large databases of this type of information to be collected and stored. Sure, the exact wording of such a law would have to be carefully chosen. That's okay.
I could make the argument that not all games are automatically "art". Soccer is not art. But with video games, they almost have to contain art. Your avatar is art. The background is art. I could probably find more individual pieces of art in the WoW universe than in the Louvre.
I just can't see anyone saying that an avatar is not a work of art, to some degree. Yes I realize that this means the doodles in the back of your notebook are technically art too, but I'm okay with that.
An ambitious slogan. Things may become easier or faster, but this certainly won't change the web in the same way that say, the web changed how I read the news or how I shop for furniture.
Hmm, how "official" are Meriam and Webster? Or any dictionary? These are guides that help people understand new words, they're not necessarily the boss of the English language. OTOH, what the Cultural Center is doing with Kanji does seem somewhat official.
As long as the people going to such clinics are willing volunteers, and understand the risks and/or unknowns, what's the problem?
The problem is they don't understand the risks.
Also, new medical advances, techniques, and drugs have to have some basis for their claims before we allow them to be tested on humans. In "serious" countries that is:)
Admit-tingly, the FDA does it job in general. But it is also a poster child of political influences and represents why government intervention in health care can be bad.
No, your story doesn't represent that. What it does represent is why corporate intervention in government is bad. Besides, the health industry, who currently decides what treatments you can get and is already 100% "between doctor and patient", has a financial interest in NOT helping sick people. Government, without the legal bribery we have now, can't possibly make things worse for you. Basically, all the bureaucracy will still be there, minus the motivation to watch you die instead of approving a claim.
Huh? What do you mean science has no relation to religion? At one time religion was quite comfortable dictating the nature of reality to anyone who would listen. It took science to prove all of it wrong. Without science, heaven is literally above us and the earth has only existed for 5000 years. What religion has done is shrink back into a quasi-philosophical version of its old self in a full retreat from science, redefining the rules so they can still claim to have some type of knowledge about things science either can't address or has yet to do so.
No one thinks this. But the nature of a product that essentially exists in infinite amounts is that the value becomes close to zero. The movie theater experience is worth $10 to some people, and the DVD is worth $20 to some others. Apparently this is enough for everyone involved in the movie to make a very good living. The digital copies on torrent sites have a value of zero.

They explained it a bit in the last season. There were 2 brothers, one was Jacob, the other wasn't named, and he killed their mother. Jacob threw him down a well, he emerged as the black smoke. He could take the form of dead people, so as to look like a person. He was I guess the main bad guy for the entire series, even though he played virtually no role in almost the entire series.
And you're representative of everyone? A lot of people watch TV at least some of the time, on their TV.

Stem cell research, on the other hand, IS being held back by religious groups that believe any fertilized embryo is a human.
As opposed to all those unfertilized embryos? :)

I've never seen that notation either but it took me about 0.1 seconds to figure out what was expected.

For a second I thought you said "Fleshlight" and thinking it might be time to upgrade to a new phone.
Was it:
a. May the cash be with you.
b. If you shoot me, I shall become more powerful than you can possibly imagine.
c. The power to rob a bank is insignificant next to the power of the force.

For many, their email client is their web browser.

Old Spice.
Ladies look at me, now back at the road, now back to me, now look at that tree you're about to hit.
Well, they either ask for volunteers, or hire people. Option 1 costs them (and you) less.
