The movie is from start to finish is to show how gay people suffered in history, and breaking the gay stereotype of being "Fabulous". They weren't taking the nerd rights at all.
I'm still not sure what makes 3D printed guns any different or more special than a gun produced with CAD plans and a used CNC machine.
It's really a matter of skill. Getting metal to spec, dealing with heating and shrinkage, using a lathe all take skill. Loading some plastic and pressing print doesn't. Think of it like the script kiddie of gun making.
I think it says a lot about his personality that he posted to his newsfeed that he meant to post the pictures, then somehow the pictures mysteriously disappear. Kind of scary with an ego that he can't admit to a mistake that small. If there ever was a security breach would facebook ever admit to it?
This lab has been there for some time. I saw it on PBS comparing the old EV1 battery to the new Volt pack. Apparently it was recorded in 2005. http://www.imdb.com/title/tt1046766/
We've seen this over and over recently for companies and politics. Some underling gets caught doing underhanded stuff, the company/government hang them out to dry, then it comes to light they knew about it the whole time. Just remember this the next time your boss asks for something ethically questionable but says they will take full responsibility.
Isnt this a conflict of interest making the software that has the bugs and also selling the software that covers over those bugs. (I know Microsoft...)
I think this really shows how Micky Mouse the code is that they are taking this route instead of getting the protocols right from the start.
More important to finding them is engineering the product so that they do not occur. Yes there will still be security holes. However a well designed product with security in mind will have less to find; even if it is less sexy than seat of your pants coding.
I hate to break it to everyone but this is already happening. Here in California SBC is getting sued by EarthLink for DSL customers getting a message that all lines are full when they tried to sign up on the EarthLink web page then getting a call back from a SBC rep trying to sign them up with SBC instead.(EarthLink had to connect to telco computers to check for available trunk lines.) No amount of encryption is going to get around the telcos giving priority to their own traffic and having a high enough lag for other companies that when reviewers test their service they will say that the telco service had less problems.
Since they are basically double sided discs I wonder if you could burn data on both sides? or have a small (10mb) hidden data burned at the very center and the rest of the top with some pretty picture. Just another idea of hiding in plain sight.
Here is one that CNET just announced today. Microsoft admits it has been vulnerable this whole year and they are working on a patch yet to be released.
I know being a subscriber to EarthLink that they say it is unlimited time while you are in front of your computer. So trying to claim you were in front of your computer for 3 days straight wouldn't fly. (not even with enough caffeine. )
The article seems to mirror a press release pretty heavily. What I want to know is how this card compares to others. The article spends most of its time comparing it to other older ATI cards. (Surprise it does better). What other cards out there allow for video input but are still good for gaming? Anyone?
I find it amusing that in reality there are more people in India that speak English (think former British colony) then there are in the U.S. that do. So do you define English by where it started (England) or the largest number of speakers (India) either one is not the United States. So refer to it like it is. You want people to use an U.S. accent which in itself is also a valid request; but not by saying that they are not speaking English.
So they will be installing Microsoft into everything possible, probably to the point of automated light switches. That is all great and everything but if the school didn't have enough money in the first place what makes anyone think they will be able to afford to re-license the OS when the time comes? And who will foot the bill when they need tech support for their sprinkler system crashing?
One of my co-workers tried ofr other jobs and they always thought they would not want to accept the offer since it what they assumed would be lower then what a PHD would accept so he had to call back everytime and make a first offer in this economy when he was just happy to have a job.

this case could not be moved since it would destroy the tunnels or worse let the bugs loose inside the computer.
Does anyone else see this as the Government cleaning up Microsoft's mess. Microsoft makes really bad code to be first to market that needs patch after patch to update then Uncle Sam picks up the tab to make sure everyone updates.
Have you ever thought that maybe it might be the manufacturing plants that they don't want them to get at. I bought a DVD player while in china that was made there. There are tons of companies that are registered in china (http://www.macrovision.com/dvd_licensed_as_au.htm l) Its the other chips that require a higher spec that Sony would have to train for quality control and die size that the US does not want to get out.
Yes Apache and Samba are out there, one of the things that Apple was bragging about is that Apache on OS X was serving more and running faster then a Sun box. Since Ellison is on the board I don't see a reason why Oracle wouldn't get relased.

Call me a skeptic but they are claiming that right now they are only able to produce under 2 volts. How much under 2 volts?
Well Sony just announced a new small HD camera today so that takes care of #1.8 1&e=4&u=/nm/20050517/tc_nm/sony_dc

but what theaters will it be playing at?
