Rain-slicker in a massage parlor. ( $100,000 ) "I thought you would have one" ( $50,000 ) Barrier to entry ( $200,000 ) "but there are two of you" ( $50,000 ) Short sheeted. ( $100,000 )
( hooker expenses needed to derive these results: $23,500 ).
I see this as the perfect solution. Now all I need is the problem to solve. Perhaps if I coupled this with an iPod and beer the problems would present themselves.
Not only do they seemingly not understand cryptography, stenography, or data tracking, they do not understand how much of Asia's network will not let this pass even as it stands now. There is a lot of Asia that runs through SAT links and they use true TCP acceleration which proxies the TCP segments. The retransmission will be pointless here at best. At worst they will screw up the far side connection resulting in a RST.
Also it would be like a little red flag saying "Look at me!" every time it was used. With data tracking equipment that stores terabytes of data for post analysis, it is almost assured to raise some questions. I can only assume that's not the effect they are looking for.
They set out to find a weakness in TCP and only found weakness in themselves. I recommend they pool their resources and buy a cheap book on stenography. Or use encryption.
What about when companies merge, or otherwise have to connect networks? Two companies using 10.x could have overlapping IPs.
Double nat with local DNS fixes manages the problem. Its how I isolate testbeds that require the same address ranges. I see no reason it could not be scaled to 10.x.
Whe you say "selling a product nobody understands" and "I repeat nobody understands what bandwidth is. Not Joe. Not you. Not me." I can't help but think you don't understand what bandwidth is.
I love how marketers in North America continue to push the idea of "European". We've all seen the infomercials where they state "This is a best selling product in Europe..." or "In Europe this retails for $60 but..."
The way that it really works in Europe is that you pay for your phone over the course of your contract. For example, if you want a phone that is $600 and you are on a 3 year agreement, you pay $16.67 as a line item on your monthly bill to pay for the cost of the phone. That's much better than the hidden subsidy cost that most (if not all) North American carriers provide.
After having just watched a Colbert Report talking about meat grown in a pitri dish, and after hearing people comparing this to the MBA, the word that comes to mind is "shmaptop".
I like my HP because its a power-house. Its certainly lighter than a desktop. Whats the issue? I also like my X60T but it does come close to the power I can put out with my HP DV9000. So, I 'tough out' and carry my anchor around. More sissies.
We're sissies because you choose to be a dumbass? I think the arguement may be flawed and I cite the case of Cause Vs. Effect. Look it up, its famous.
...web pages, voice calls, streaming videos and gaming â" moves without delay. Less time-sensitive traffic, such as file uploads, peer-to-peer and Usenet newsgroups, may be delayed momentarily...' Sounds like throttling to me."
Sounds more like prioritization to me. This can effect latency and jitter more than effective bandwidth. Of course latency can effect practical bandwidth of shorter TCP segments, and of course in the end, they will drop traffic. But thats not what they are talking about in the description.
I know most of you guys who comment on this hate the idea of playing favorites with traffic, but I would suggest that you actually want this. It does in fact, make for a "smoother" network.

Although your probably both saying the same thing. Sadly.
Just one more thing science can't answer. Of course the answer is obvious but no scientist would ever consider that.
Obviously its so God can sort you out later.
Except these are designed to arrive with the hoods "pre-lost", saving us the trouble.
Open Source would work great if it weren't for those damned users.

There is evidence to suggest they may have been unwilling patients. This is mostly based on observing the color schemes, and the %99+ mortality rate.
Towards the end of his tenure he will end up on FML.

It means they will TERMINATE you if you break the speed limit.
It seems to me you would have to assume ( or prove ) that being gay is slanderous. Or something.
and there is really only one reason to take a girl out on a date....
To bribe them to set you up with another girl?
Bragging rights. He is secretly monosexual.

After studying young adults, it has been noted that keggers cause jumps to conclusions later in the study.

So the same as everywhere else then.

I mean, are they even going to be able to relate to Fable II?

I am only amused that the world did not end again. I mean, based on past experience.
till they first post the images from this baby.

Considering this is what both the test platforms I've done work on are using as links, I think your concerns are irrelevant.
Dish TV links get jammed? I thought it was just the Playboy channel.
Call the round trip 600ms since you have to make the distance four times to do it.
Still, its lower latency than Clint Eastwood thinking in Russian.
Maybe they just became more acutely aware of the researchers out to get them.
