I agree with you there. I put a CD-MP3 player in my car recently. After swapping CDs around I made a compilation CD called "Songs that Don't Suck". Out of about 15 Gigs of MP3s on my home server I could only find about 650 Mb for this CD. Now I just leave it on shuffle when I'm driven. I also have a FM tuner hook up to my PC@work(P2P blocked@work) and just record new songs as MP3s. Kinda like the bad-old days of cassettes. Libraries are also a good source of free CDs for high bit-rate ripping :^)

They get the same mileage but the VUE has more cargo space, but is slower to accelerate. It's the function of Weight,Aerodynamics, and Power. that what makes my old 4cyl Fiero fast and fuel effecient.

I Love being a programmer. Took an extended lunch and went to a matinee. Short line, the theatre was half full. They(Regal cinema) screwed up the sound on the reel change so they gave everyone another ticket.

Any way the movie was excellent. Good plot. Good mix of slow story telling and fast action scenes. Some weird gothic references(ghosts, werewolves).

Go see it in a loud theatre with a big screen. My home theatre system is better than Regals, Can't wait to buy the DVD;)

Actually, I have an old GE DVD player(1999) that would not play Anything on CD-Rs(Audio or VCD). I just tried a DVD+R burnt with Nero and compiled with DVDshrink and it worked great. So far I have yet to find a player that will not accept them. At 2$ PER disk and very little recoding time they are far easier than backing up a DVD with VCDs. I'll never go back to VCDs now. Good luck.

They removed the parallel expansion port due to fact that you could buy a certain Gameshark type cartridge and run CD-Rs on it. You coould also buy one that wouuld play VCD,MP-3,MAME, and gameboy game on it. Very expandable The older Playstations are still hard to find for that very reason.

Now to be serious. I've been stationed in south korea twice and have seen how they have prospered into a very advanced society rivaling japan and the US. They have a higher percentage of literacy and internet usage than we do. The oppressed north can barely feed its people with the food and oil we give them for free. North Korea is no better than a punk with a gun on the street extorting resources from everyone around.

A better world is worth fighting for.

Geeks have come one step closer to the robot love dolls from the movie Cherry2000. Go to Realdolls.com and find the section on PC interface. I believe it uses a LAN (802.11?) connection to send sensor data from the eregenous zones to a PC. The PC then plays back random sound clips (moaning & screaming) for the corresponding pleasure sensors. At $10K they are a bit pricey, but then they never say "Not to night I have a head ache" 8^D~

Quality in the software industry has also taken a nose dive. It seems that every new PC game made has a patch available within weeks of hitting the shelves. This could be a lack af proper testing.

A good example would be the new Harry Potter game. The PC version retails for 29.99 and the PS2 version is $49.99. The PS2 version will work flawlessly and never need to be patched. This is paying for quality. I will buy the PS2 version so I can avoid fighting with winblows and patches.
