Well hello mister fancy pants.. Not everyone wants to live on top of their neighbors in a city. I have 5 acres about 15 mile from town and prefer not to see anyone else. I can leave my cars unlocked in the drive and do not have worry about hodlum kids. We can watch movies loud and sometimes project them against the barn drive-in style. .
I have a XM Roady 2 with a Car mount and House mount in my office. I take it back and forth from car to office. 95% of my listening is FOX/CNN news, XM Comedy XL, and the Oppie and Anthony show. I occasionally flip to music when the kids are in the car. I am also guilty of using Audacity to record songs to my MP3 player (about 2 a month), but then I was recording them from radio before XM. There is little quality difference between XM and FM.
The AWACS(AOCP)code I work on is stored on a classified mainframe. Not all of it has anything classified in it but because it is on the mainframe with classified code it will never be released in any way. We still have a couple of old green screen terminals but mostly use PCs with terminal emulators.
My wifes two favorite game series for the PC are: MYST 1-4 and anything with word SIMS in it. She actually prefers the PS2 versions of the Sims due to the missions and the fact that they do not crash the way the PC versions do. She also helped Beta test Sims Online (it not her fault it sucks). She also love those Harvest Moon and Animal Crossing games on the Gamecube and GBA.
I was stationed in England from 93-97. When I returned I donated monthly until 2000 when the FDA ban went into effect. I wonder how CJD was spread as A result! MOOooOOOOoooo
I can see this going as well as the UMD discs for the PSP, A few people woth more money than sense will buy into for a while. DiVX DVDs made you player call for permission and it's dead.
Typing of the Dead blends horror with a typing tutorial for an original gaming experience. There are several game modes to help you become a terrific typist. Drill mode focuses on different skills, such as typing speed, accuracy, reflex, and special keystrokes. In the boss mode, your battle against each boss emphasizes a different skill, from quick reading and answering to story reading and typing. Two-player modes include cooperative and competitive.
This game was the reason I bought 2 keyboards for my Dreamcast. My kids will play this before Mavis Beacon Typing.
Another choice that is more modular is using a US robotics Broadband Router with Serial port that can access a USR serial v90 modem or ISDN modem. I also hooked a WI-Fi Bridge to it. Its good to be modular, when the modem gets toasted due to lighting strikes, and yes I use a surge protector but some spikes get through anyway.
I'm a JoaT geek Myself. I converted My 91 Chevy Astro to R134 in the barn I built on my property that also has most of my computers in it. I converted some old mobile home central A/C units to cool the barn, and will cover the roof of it with solar cells one day when they get cheaper. Due to my rural location I also have a small satelite dish deck on the roof for TV and Internet, good for astronomy too. 8^)
I look in D:\pictures\2005\0510-vacation pics\ it is right after D:\pictures\2005\0501-birthday pics\ you do not need a database to organize your digital stuff, just a little thought ahead of time.8^)
HP sold one a few years ago called the Jornada 820. I still use mine everyday. It has a 90% sized keyboard and a VGA screen w/VGA port. Includes Modem, Touchpad, CF slot, PCMCIA slot, microphone, speaker, 12Hr battery, and a USB port that seems to work with USB mice. It syncs with latest version of Outlook. I use AvantGo on it with a CF-WiFi adapter.
Thats Funny, Oklahoma has a ban on Hardcore Porn but we can buy Dild0s. When driving south on I-35 from OK to TX the first thing you see as you cross the border are Hardcore Porn shops and Tattoo parlors. Both are illegal in OK.
If Microsoft installed a full version of Win2K on the X-box and installed several standard USB ports and a VGA plug, and sold them at cost($300?), they could flood the market. As long as it still played X-box games just think of the multimedia possibilities.

Maybe it will be on BBC America?
Three words:
________Lunar Solar Power__________
It's funny it requires Microsoft® Windows® XP with Service Pack 2. Sorry M$, GIMP and Photoshop run just fine on my WIN2k boxes.
Maybe it was one of those new ruggedized Transparent Aluminum connectors. After all Transparent Aluminum was invented in the 1980s.

There is even a effort to port it to Linux.
