Joking aside, I'm guessing it's a balance approach from AMD (just enough CPU power with really good GPU power).

near frictionless replacement for Windows 8. Or more precisely it's easier to learn Mac OS X or Chrome coming from Windows 7. I have an office full of people and those that have Windows 8 machines generally don't like it. Some have started to switch to Mac. Why Mac instead? Because it's hard to get a new machine with Windows 7 on it. People understand the basic paradigm of the Mac OS (buttons, drop down menu, multiple overlapping windows). There isn't a software that's needed here that doesn't have a Mac equivalent (ie. Office, Adobe CS, Quickbooks). If my users really wanted to take Mac OS X to the next step, I show them Lauchpad and Mission Control and more advance gestures. Otherwise, most people are happy doing what they know to work.

FOX actually puts on some very interesting and good shows. Without FOX, we wouldn't have X-Files, Fringe, Firefly (yes they did cancel it), Simpsons (Season 1-10, the rest don't exist), and Futurama (Season 1-5). They're about the only one crazy enough to try shows like X-Files, Terra Nova or Fringe. You knew going in that Fringe was going to have a limited audience but FOX still gave them enough time to completely the main story arc.

The time, data and energy you put into an online service is your investment and when it's discontinued you lose that investment.

On "normal" speakers I can rarely tell the difference, but on reference monitors the difference is noticeable on many tracks. Not terrible distracting but still noticeable.
