I'd be more concerned about Church Ladie. Besides, Kratos would expire in a fight versus God and Satan. It's like being stuck between two poles. Pure, unbridled evil darkness vs. Pure unbridled good light. He'd be frozen on one side and fried on the other. Besides, biblicaly speaking, those who have sinned cannot see God without being destroyed... Kratos may have a few stikes against him :).

Being a Christian who doens't like the idea of a game in which the whole point is to take on God shouldn't exactly appeal to me. But I also have a brain, therefore I can tell the difference between real life and a make-believe game. I think it would be cool to play a game where you tried to storm the gates of Heaven or Hell in a glorious battle. Of course, I'd be more inclined to storm Hell, but I'd eventually get around to conquering Heaven if the game let me.

I've got my sword and blue boomerang, just go up three, over one up three and somewhere around there is a nice fairy who will shower you with love and affection. Beyond any other game, this is what made me love Zelda (in the begining). I was only 6 when it came out and I had a hard time adopting to the controller or learning the map.

When my parents kicked me off the Nintendo to make me play outside (which was frequent) they understood that they weren't ruining my last 20 minutes of gaming. Heck, my mom or dad would often sit co-pilot with the map helping me find where to go, but I wasn't allowd to play unless weather didn't permit me to go outside. Achievements or whatever they call them is pretty cool. I've been doing that sort of stuff for a while with shooters and platformer games. Nothing like the people who try to go through RPGs without using a particular button or without certain charecters (check out gamefaqs for FF-X and you'll understand). I have a cousin who has played the original Tenchu (let's face it, they still haven't topped the original) so much that he touts his memory card around sometimes. I'd be over there and he'd be playing Tenchu. "This time I'm going through the level with only shurukins, no swords. Not even to defend." I would watch it and he would actually do it. Gradius III? Now, I'm not saying the game was easy, but it wasn't that hard either. The only real challenge was the level where it sped up really fast and your main concern was not hitting the walls. Memorization takes care of that. Maybe the level with the five bosses in a row, but that was easy enough if you could avoid the one that tried continuously to ram you. The end boss (big pile of pink biomatter that talked to you) was the easiest of all the bosses in the game.

I still play this game a lot on my SNES (not emulator). Twin Laser, any extra bullets (I'd never use them), 2-way missle (backwards), S form option (the wings), reduce (if you don't get hit, you don't need a shield), and sheild up for special. Leave the power up on option and you can cover the whole screen with laser fire and missle fire.

If that doesn't help, then pause the game and use the Konami code, but use L and R in stead of left and right, or you'll blow up.

P.S. Hopefully future versions of Gradius will allow you to configure your weapons like III did. Tweaking your ride is half the fun.

They knew what they were doing.. even included the software.. And, despite the fact that people are pirating movies with their memory sticks, a lot of them are copying movies or shows they already own. Then there's the whole issue that it requires far less battery power to read/display a movie off solid state memory than to spin a disc. So it's even more appealing to do so.

The real question is whether or not they will allow it to continue. Will there be a new firmware update that requires a license to play every movie? And beyond that, will they be producing any "killer apps" that make people want to buy the product that will install it? From what I've heard, the PSP has been distinctivly Gamecube about news lately. In other words, pretty well dead in the water. Very few titles. Not much to get excited over.

No players or computer add-ons via USB or even the 3.5" ports on your box (remember those? they had the floppys). UMD likely won't make it off of the PSP, at least for a while. Maybe if there's a PSP2 it will be backward compatable. I hope it isn't though. Expenses aside, they should be using solid state.

In my opinion, no handheld should have moving parts. Even HDD's. They eat power, they move and they can be damaged fairly easily (even with a caddy). My biggest complaint, however, is load times. Especially for a game that I'm playing on the go. Load times have always pissed me off on consoles, but I put up with it because I was just sitting on my butt anyway. With a handheld, I usualy have it on when I've got spare time. The GBA adaptor helps a lot for time-intesive games (I hate staring at all the portable screens for more than five minutes). So, even though you can leave the PSP (or DS) on suspend, I don't because I never know when I'll get back to it, but I'd preffer the console to not be dead when I return.
