Oh yeah..I don't mean that only this particular 'game' runs in 128 bytes (I assume all the 2600 games did), but rather that it's so small by today's standards but can support something useable. I think it's really cool when people make projects on old systems like this since it's such a difference from computers with a gig of RAM.
The synth carts are very cool things. If you can find one for sale, I'd reccomend picking it up. My brother bought one and ran it on a black/silver 2600 (?) iirc, but sadly he had to sale all his game systems so it's gone.
A very interesting hack though. To think it runs in just 128 bytes in the RAM!
Hmm. Yup, they must have taken it down. There was a picture of the main guy from the Final Fantasy movie, 3 still lifes, a motorcycle, and a knight in armor.
Larry Selditz will begin selling a teenager's worst nightmare in November - a small black box placed in a car that allows parents to track exactly how their child is driving on the highways.
No. A teenager's worst nightmare would be a little black box that reports their "parking" *winkwink* habits, not driving.
i was a CE major for a year, and was very unimpressed at it. they made such a big deal of me taking the intro C class 1st semester. wtf?
the class was pretty bad anyway. Hurley taught it, but he has got to be the most condescending prof i've had in 3 years. he taught the assembly language classes, and other upper level classes, and he acted like teaching a lower level C class was the worst thing he could do. i can see how it would be boring though..
i've heard good things about McCormick too.
anyway,i know if i had stayed there a little bit longer i might have gotten more out of it. they've done alot to change in the past 4 years, but it's too late to go back and finish a major now.
Maybe because it's 2AM here and that's altering my judgement, but...you have got to be one of the dumbest people I have ever seen open their mouth. Why don't you go play in traffic, and then when you can post a halfway legible and intelligent post come back.
Oh wait, this is slashdot...crap like you are par for the course here. Never mind.:D
great game after a stressful day. do the weapons cheat and have at!
i love to start small, just beating bums and old women with the bat..maybe taking a few shots at them with the pistol. make my way to the hospital area, then steal a Barracks OL in Staunton and ram people off bridges until the car blows up.
leave the charred remains in the middle of the road to block traffic, then walk by all the cars lined up with the flamethrower setting them onfire (too bad they dont blow up usally). start throwing grenades then until the cops come. kill them with the ak47 and you should have 3 stars.
steal their car, and start ramming the other cop cars and pedestrians, and drive by with the uzi until the FBI comes. i usually die around here though:(
i did this last night. i was in a cop car driving down thr sidewalk, downhill, pretty fast for maybe 8 blocks. i hit like 3 people at once and it set my car on fire lol. i pulled into the street and tried to get out, but as i was doing so an FBI car rammed the front end and they both hit a wall and blew up - but i was just standing there. i was laughing pretty hard so i didn't react quick enough to the next FBI car that came up, and shot me:(
but i started again by the hospital in Staunton so I could get the Barracks OL again! yay!
thats not Linux then. silly pirates. its bad enough to steal from the MPAA, but now yall will run me over onthe road because you're busy watching "The Best Tentacle Rape Vol 4"
back in the day you could download Mac viruses since most of them were nothing more than an entry in the resource fork. i remember seeing various "Infection Collections" on servers.
as far as finding sources...many old ones are online at various 'hacking' site. example:
http://www.tlsecurity.net/michael.asm
i think the easiest way to archive the old ones is via an OS other than the virus' target one. wouldn't have to worry about it messing things up then,or virus scanners going off on it. if you don't have a mac or linux computer laying around, maybe you have a sacrificial x86 laying around to use to simply infect then copy the virus to a safe computer? that would be a pretty fun thing to try (couldnt be that hard seeing as how many times i've heard my friends say they got infected)
it might be hard to find executables of ones like Michealango though intact, unless you have the time to go through old shareware collections from 10+ years ago. it shouldn't be a problem to get any recent script based worm though *G* they're all over the place.
For $1250 I wil teach you how to get First Post! This is not a bulk mail either!

ohh boy those capacitors are a pain!
i accidently desoldered not only a cap, but its solder pad and trace when installing a neo 1:( the system would still work but wouldnt load games without making a horrible scratching sound from the cd drive. to make it worse, it was my brothers system so he was pretty sad at what happened.
we had to send it off to a guy to get it fixed, who accidently broke an IC on the board and had to get a replacement for that. he was supposed to install the NEO and the cap, but a few days ago we get a package in the mail. its the PS2 (fixed thankfully) and the uninstalled modchip, and a money order for $50 (???)
the only problem is the cd tray is FAST now..like it shakes the system when it opens from popping open so quick.
from what my brother tells me, people in Hong Kong have already started copying/pirating gamecube games.
i have a stack of mini-cdrs, and there exists mini-dvdr's, so i think it wont be long until you can order pirated gamecube games.
goes for any system actually. i remember when the dreamcast could be copied by echelon but not publically, now you can have software that rips gdroms via the BBA into windows. and this was on an unpiratable system.
the gamecube uses a powerpc processor, so porting NetBSD to it is only a matter of time.

the harvester advances forward and backward, sideways and diagonally. It can also turn in place and step over obstacles
Good. Maybe then those pesky forest rebels will have a harder time wrapping thier grappling hooks around me when I'm out logging.
Yeah, it's pretty nice looking. I'm a sucker for yellow motorcycles.
Hmm. Yup, they must have taken it down. There was a picture of the main guy from the Final Fantasy movie, 3 still lifes, a motorcycle, and a knight in armor.

I would mirror it but I have no webspace, sorry
KTHX
Did anyone else's brain want to instinctively drink that cup of coffee on the 3rd page?

i will second you recommendation. "Mastering Regular Expressions" is an excellent book.
"The Mismeasure of Man" is an excellent book. Gould was a great author. I recommend you find a copy to read - it's very insightful.
I think it's sad to see such a writer pass.
frost piss! it hurts it hurts!
yay! no offense Trollaxor, but i liked this story Mr. AC. please write more stories about prison, gay sex with Slashdot people, and OS X.

but when will artist's ever draw how the Nazi's and Japanese flew to Mars during WWII?
ha! i thought not! if i wasn't such a crackpot i'd draw it myself.
