    Second start-up, the issue is that the other hats you have to wear constantly code-block.

    Coding is like constantly solving puzzles, that is why after playing suduko, I was more interested in writing a solver than doing the puzzles.

    As far as the "nerd and sex" correlation goes: Marry a nerd (she hides it well). 30+ years seems to be doing just fine

    How did the senior developer learn of the pay disparity?

    I have discovered that people can be perfectly happy when they get paid what they think they deserve, and as far as what others make, NOYDB (None Of Your Damn Business). I grew up in an environment where people got fired for discussing pay (just to avoid situations like this).

    I think talking about cheapskates is a bit too far.

    Money for food, money for education --- EXCELLENT.

    Money so the 3rd world kids can get addicted to WOW, no way.

    I still think it would be better to set up something centralized for the kids to have a chance to see a computer
    and learn rather than giving PCs to as many as possible. Crap - alot of them do not have a decent place to sleep, let alone anough nutrition on a daily basis.

    Plus, where are they going to keep their laptop while they toil in fields or Nike factories?

    Wheelchairs at least have WHEELS that ROLL and can have motorized assist. So if you have Doc Oct legs, next you need to haul a backup generator, or a strong guy to carry you when out of power...

    Talk about being truly disabled.

    He would most likely remove your head and set it on top of your recently dropped lower jaw. Please make sure there is room around you for a large mammalian head that usually accompanies these visits.

    Now not only do they not listen, but they make up emotional responses to questions and issues not actually raised.

    Politicians need to find new careers, period.

    Who else gets to make up all the rules, and raise their own salaries, and get to keep their jobs despite being found with a live child, or a dead woman (Ted Kennedy - at least the dead woman part).

    You think by now that we would have learned by now that Big Government only has our best interests at heart. Like HDTV. You know any action will ultimately cause some kind of damage, they will realize it, and change policy to cause damage in a completely new direction.

    Indecency has nothing to do with this subject. If only people (parents) would exercize their parental rights and use the already present Goverment mandated control systems built into TVs and cable boxes....

    But I would like to see the God channels as well as Home Shopping network, QVC, and Womens Entertainment survive on their own merit instead of the current situation (because I wont pay for them).

    Also, does not the FCC require that the providers carry some of the God channels? What if no one wants to pay for it?

    Since college is not very cheap here, and most software/engineering companies want degree'd workers, you cannot afford college for a minimum wage job.

    How many companies are checking or even care about the qualifications of the overseas people doing the work, or do they care?

    So US industry is encouraging kids not to go to college, and they complain about the education level....

    So how long before most of us cannot afford to buy the products we used to make, the standard of living goes up in India, and they end up outsourcing back to the now third-world USA???

    I am now in line behing other engineers to qualify for McDonalds Manager trainee program.
