What's a "secured dropbox account?" Didn't we find out last week that Dropbox has the encryption keys to your stuff and will hand it over to pretty much anyone who asks nicely?
Yeah, lately here I have to admit I am. They couldn't even muster the votes to kill the utterly irresponsible Bush tax cuts.
But why is a Federal law needed here? Don't some states already require online retailers to collect sales tax? Shouldn't other states do that if they want the revenue?
There has been at least one attempt at a rectum (business end of the large intestine) bomb. Small intestine would be tough to get to since you'd need to pass through 6' or more of large bowel to get to it from the back end, or the mouth, throat and stomach from the front end.
VW diesels hold their value quite well, thank you. Compare any tdi from the last 10 years versus anyone else's gasser of similar size and shape then get back to us.
Yes, timing belt changes are somewhat painful. But at every 100K miles, who really cares? Most gassers are dead or dying by that point, so it's pretty much comparing apples to tampons.
The contract is printed on cheese.
fMRI again - I want to know how dead salmon react to Apple imagery.

"What in Linux is going to prevent a user from running a program that they really want to run?"
Dependency hell. Either that, or the program just doesn't exist for linux.

When you die you are no longer able to look back at anything - you're dead. Other than that, nice trolling.

Toshiba, too.
My tolerance for this sort of pedantry grows smaller by the day.
"there are ZERO options"
Systemax doesn't do crapware on their windows preinstalls. So there's at least one option.

Every time I receive a replacement for an expired credit card I have to phone in to activate it. First thing asked for? Card number.
Are there credit cards that do not require a call to activate?
Nice move, there, I-beam.
Do not feed the C.H.U.D.s!
This discussion is about Sarah Palin. I think you meant to say "fence post."
"something that looks vaguely bomb-like"
Lite-Brite, anyone?
If that is true, wouldn't it be better to populate the DIMM slots with RAM and use a ramdisk instead of SSD for this purpose?
"how I was going to look up the number without Internet access"
It's printed on the bill they send you every month.

Xe (nee Blackwater) is still in NC. In Moyock, near the coast. No unemployment problems for that particular mercenary factory.
