For a start you can make sure that they are all using Firefox. Maybe disable any IE usage on the network? That's what I would do. Build a script that sees IE is being used and sends them to www.getfirefox.com no matter what url they are typing in/ clicking on. This should at least halve your problem.....
The original Trek was funny, interesting, had some great character actors, who were bad actors, explored the depths of what it means to be human by comparison with other imagined lifeforms, and overall provided an interesting atmosphere. All these spin offs are missing 1 or more of those ingredients. TNG was OK, but took itself too seriously, and lost almost all the humor of the original series. Don't even get me started on the last few...
Here's an idea. Put together a new trek that had all the features of the old but with all the new tech available for film, CGI, etc. Nothing low budget on tech, and nothing high budget on acting, just the most attractive multi-cultural crew you can put together. Add the soft filter when the flawed captain meets female aliens. Bring back the psychedellic style music. Bring back the go-go boots. Get rid of the shitty neoprene one pieces that make hot chicks like councilor troy look bad. Have porn stars be the aliens!
When are politicians going to learn that I won't vote for them when they come out against my favorite video game. Did I mention that GTA is one of the most popular franchises in history? I don't think I'm alone here.
I just quit my job last week. The line in the sand was hearing malicious rumors about myself that the owner of the company had stated that had absolutely no basis in reality.
1. Make it more like civ 2. 2. Make a really sweet opengl engine, and beautiful models and maps. Let the citys be alive in a certain view. 3. Add lots of technologies and stuff. That kind of stuff is what makes civ so fun. 4. Make it more like civ 2. 5. Don't give it so much busy work. Some things should take care of themselves. 6. Make it more like civ 2.

I'll turn down the volume when they turn civil liberties back on. Oh yeah, and when we have real elections with real candidates and real vote counting.
Turning down the volume is just cowardice, or stupidity at this point.
How does one connect to many open access points at once? is it possible? do i need multiple antennas? is there an open source program to do this? Link?
would be to somehow use all the wireless routers to increase bandwidth. There's gotta be a way to set up all the wireless routers including your own to be freely accessible to all and then take advantage of all the bandwidth at once when you need it, and let your neighbors do the same. I posted this idea in an ask/. , but I never got a response I don't think, or posted for that matter.
If there isn't a way to do this, we should have it be this way in the next generation infrastructure, no? Maybe have it run automatigically too!
Imagine getting your 300k/sec plus your 10 neighbors 300k/sed on some nice little torrent.....
Or... If you had a beowulf cluster of wifi routers... PROFIT!!!
And it's my advice that you learn theory first. Learn all the interaction between notes in a scale (a piano, or barbershop quartet is a good way to study this), then Learn yourself some guitar as a way to express other stuff you've learned. The guitar is not necessarily a best "first" instrument, however, it can be if you actually learn real notes and chords, and how they work together and in a group setting.
It could be done on computer, but I've never seen a decent program or series of videos myself. Nothing like having an expert right there to teach you, and let's face it: The immense population of good guitarists who are starving will thank you for your $100 a month pittance to learn to play.
I'm in California, so in other states, it can be done reliably for cheaper I'm sure.

That makes me feel better! Is that like half of what the republican party initially invested?
Even if it's double the amount they initially payed, I'm sure they'll make it back with Haliburton kickbacks. Ahhh the sweet smell of american politics, uniquely similar to the smell of money and horse shit.
Well, when wifi is pervasive and hotspots are one big free everywhere internet (Fast forward about 5 years from now), then we won't have the corporate controls and DRM and all the other draconian bullshit going on that is going on today, so imho, that is a "good thing". I submit that we need a different protocol specifically for this "freenet", and more software infrastructure for it. I like the IDEA of freenet the current one, but let's be honest. IT TOTALLY BLOWS AND NOBODY WILL EVER USE IT. It has a necessary niche that it is NOT filling, and will be MUCH MORE FILLED by some other system, particularly with the (i feel) inevitable advent of ubiquitous hot spots.
Uh, XCF has most of the features that PSD has.... There's a learning curve, but I've switched over completely to gimp and have very few complaints. My main one is that the gimp never remembers what directory I just saved to/loaded from. This is the worst, but it's my ONLY complaint!
Yeah, I don't know why, but my grandparents were MUCH faster and better organised at computer learning right out of the gate. It's the Baby Boomers who drive me completely nuts. Am I the only one who sees my parents as completely computer illiterate, but my grandparents and cousins as a pack of raving n00bs? There are a few my age, and some uncles (not quite baby boomers, somewhere between me and them) that actually know stuff, but the 40-60 bracket gives me the most problems, is the most likely to repeat them, is the most likely to create new ones in an almost creative fashion, and the most likely to be lame about me helping them.
right, like a pdf export or something.... I just print it out myself and give it to people. It would be nice if there was a pdf export, or a new format that all the programs used that could be readable (and displayable) in a browser. There's the beginnings of this going on with lilypond and mutopia, but I'll be damned if I can get any of that to work in windows. If I could get Sibelius to export.ly (or an open source program that replaced sibelius!) and firefox to display.ly (maybe via extension!) that would be ideal.

ummmm, yeah, how about GTA San Andreas? Reviewed by pretty much every person I know, and half the game magazines as "Greatest Game EVER!"?!?

Love that sig. I got an awesome shirt a few years back with that sig on the front. It was a ray troll shirt, he's quite an artist.

By automated voting you mean, the candidate is selected for you, automatically, right? Hey, I call it like I see it.
Now I'll be able to get a big gulp as soon as I finish building this rocketship.

Does your character look like a young George Bush Sr. dressed as a hobo?
God damn I wish I had some mod points, this is just bullshit. The gimp rules now! I've been gimp only for 4 years, only 1 complaint: Folder memory.

Well, what can you do... I ain't no coder.
You can save as midi, sibelius imports and exports midi very nicely. Unless you are looking for something else?
