The land of Hyrule has been ruled by zelda and good for too long. It's time for ganon to collect all the mythical doo-dads and unique weapons to defeat the legendary hero link. Gameplay will start in the darkworld were ganon is powerful and protected. He then needs to gain power to take over the light world.
It's better than a CD but not perfect, although I haven't tried it traveling ever.
The speaker playback volume of movies is very low(although I think you can increase this in a special menu) and headphones are needed which is probably a blessing for commuters.
This game is still being developed http://lotro.turbine.com/ I'm not sure when they changed the name but it was recent. It probably won't do so well because the lotr craze seems over and only really big fans will notice it.
Jet Moto - futuristic bike racing with realistic physics for it's time, cool characters, interesting races like the suicide tracks. Would be great to see a remake that also had free ranging point A to point B races.
Return Fire - capture the flag with different army vehicles. Decimate your enemies defences with your tanks and helicopters then rush in with the jeep for the capture.
Carmagedon - carmagedon 2 was really good and had a great mod community with lots of realistic cars available. It had great damage models.
Any fighting game with the bushido blade damage system.
The AC1 players are pretty worried right now too though. The Dev team got told today that they are being moved back to boston after having been in california for a year or less.
AC1 is getting double xp weekends and even triple majors(good loot) now. AC2 was getting stuff like this before dying. Whether or not it's a sign it's making a lot of the high level players annoyed that leveling up has been made incredibly easy.
Lots of people would prefer a PS3 over a next gen DVDplayer. The cheapass's not wanting to buy another dvd player don't matter. The cheapasses won't buy any dvd player because they'll be using their ps3.

As CDs, formats, or current harddrive file systems, become obsolete there will be a few years of overlap to get the photos moved to a newer format or medium.

I didn't think it was like the original doom. Now I didn't ever beat doom3 so i could be wrong but it just didn't have the killfest feeling of the original. I played the seriuos sam demos and those were closer to the original doom than doom3 was.
"The day id releases an answer to Counter-Strike or the like, is the day they've lost, in my eyes." This I have to agree with. I just want great competative arcade games from id, not cashing in on the trends.
For me I started online gaming with quake 2. For me rocket arena 2 was a great competition game. I'm sure there are many more like me where this is what we want and ID might always be able to deliver that.
A game with a good weapon set, some decent built in maps and tools to spawn a huge modding community. A lot of us don't need complex ai, storyline, or any immersion. We just want to shoot each other.

Doom III wasn't the same game at all. It left the arcade/multiplayer focus and went for a survival horror single player feeling.
Quake 4 is what should be actually looked at as next in the line of ID games even though Raven is making it.
the american companies usually don't sell your information to burly men named boris and ivan who are planning to kick in your door and put guns to your house as they rob you. I find publishers clearing house sweepstakes and other junk mail to be a much smaller annoyance.

well the webbrowser for instance is a firmware update.
the game maker would have to be in a firmware update as well unless it had a umd disc to load it's games from the memory stick or internet.

Final Fantasy VI and Chrono Trigger are old games and have great story.
By a longer stretch a lot of psx games are "old" as well.
There are girls out there that don't have the knowledge of knoppix dvds. If you met them away from the internet you would know this already.
