thats because it uses the native OS X text box widget, which has spell checking built-in. Omniweb has this nice feature too. I think I almost like Safari better than OmniWeb now too, especially for speed.
except it's not integrated into OS X. It uses a lot of the cool features available in the OS X frameworks, but that's like calling iTunes integrated because it uses cool OS X APIs to do cool stuff

Are you kidding? I'd love a full-color replacement to my Newton, with much more surface area on which to draw! and full color to boot! One of the things that always limited my use of my Newton was the small surface area was not very fun for just sketching stuff out... i'm used to 8.5x11 drawing canvas, damnit!
If they simply used an Interocitor, a device that can lay roads at a mile a minute, it can of course also lay cable, cheap! DIRT cheap! Just gotta get those folks with the funny, large heads to sell em....
I bought a copy in Booktent Santa Cruz (right after the '89 earthquake), i was in 4th or 5th grade I think, and pushed me in a more scientific direction.
OT: I like your '80s stream, but I think you should check out quicktime streaming server, if u have the bandidth yourself, because it doesn't limit you to 56K and doesn't make people jump though hoops just to listen.

I've been looking into moving to Switzerland... non-EU country, nice LOW probability of being attacked, much friendlier foreign policy. Sure, I'll have to learn German, French or Italian. It sure is better than being shafted by Bush and his cronies.
I have a PC running XP and a G4 Cube and I use them off of one monitor with VNC (mac is server, win is client) and I'll have a nice USB-supported monitor switcher by Xmas!
VPC with XP on OSX was just unacceptable for windows coding and gaming, henc my current setup. I like the UNIXness and Macness but I have to (well, had to) do Windows programming.
bad idea, prepare to have your account suspended =]
but it's a well-known fact that anyone who reads /. is too busy refreshing to do any coding ;)
Yeah, gotta get Hooked on Monkey-Linux?
Looks like no one will be stalking random local girls anytime until this story drops off the front page...

I'd like the alienware Area51 laptop more
up to 3 GHz p4, even if it IS a desktop P4 and not a laptop one... that's what AC adaptors are for

Maybe after it's out of alpha it might be worth something... but not yet (wouldn't run correctly under OS X Classic for me)
