I have mplayer installed along with the firefox plugin for it - I can play the clip in either the browser, or on its own. You probably need to go get the full codec bundle, and recompile.
First, they loose money from not having the next upgrade, and far more importantly their strangle hold gaurenteeing lots of money from future upgrades is loosened.
Dude, that's just sloppy. At least you got one right.
Who really wants to leave a decent paying, *secure* job these days for a place that offers a bit more money - and you don't know if you'll even *have* a job in 6 months at the new place.
People are staying put until the market sorts itself out. Nothing to see here...move along.
HD Magnets are ridiculously strong for their size. Grab an old drive 1GB and rip it apart. I have a hard time pulling quarters off it. (Canadian quarters -- I haven't tried this with US currency)
I'm in Canada, so here they are all magnetic. Test some coins. I'm willing to bet that the newest coins are all magnetic (assuming you're in the US). Can anyone else shed some light on this somewhat offtopic banter?;)
Agreed. However, I have this mouse, and quite honestly, it is simply the best mouse I've ever owned. The battery life is truely amazing. Plus, it even runs on just 1 battery. I had the Intellimouse Explorer (2 side buttons) and that thing devoured batteries.
As much as we all love to hate Microsoft, I have to admit, they do make a good mouse.
You're partially correct. They needed something *light* and *strong* to compensate for the mass of the whales and water. Transparent aluminum was the only material that would satisfy those requirements. I think they said that to use steel or glass, the tank walls would have been far too thick.
This album by Velvet Revolver is actually a much anticapated album -- former members of GNR and the Stone Temple Pilots. Not really surprising that it's #1. People don't really care that the album is copy protected.
Hell, I'll go buy this one. These guys make good music. Plain and simple. Go pimp your 'the people want copy protection' somewhere else. People want decent music. This band delivers.
IF (and only if)
1. No restrictions on what I do with it.(any player)
2. I can use the OS of my choice (Slackware)
3. The price more accurately reflects the production/distribution costs.
4. There has to be something worth purchasing.
You don't have to. You *do* have to download this package, extract to /usr/local/lib/codecs/ and then rebuild mplayer as usual. Read this.

PS. Don't forget the codecs, or you'll be recompiling again.

Hey, don't loose your temper.

I'm going to metamod for the next few days in the hopes that I get one of these comments. You should too.

You have to rip the HD apart. The magnet is behind the drive arm assembly.

Remember when they locked the multiplier on their CPUs? The only reason they did this was to sell 'faster' chips. Celeron 300A anyone?
Wait...*You're* the guy in the Tron suit...aren't you?
Interesting how the RIAA waits until they have a *good* album on their hands to 'release' their new copy protection scheme.
RIAA:*sells 100,000 copies of a GOOD band* "See?! People don't mind copy protection!"
(BTW, I meant 'the people don't want copy protection'.--don't forget to use 'preview' kids!)

In other words...never.
And people talk about windows bloat...*sheesh*
So you can prove that I'm infringing copyright? Right?
If for some unknown reason you're NOT using swaret...
"swaret --update"
"swaret --upgrade"
