I tried watching the dub of Trigun. I go up to the neon lights guy on the train and had to change it. It wasn't all the quality of acting. The main cast was good enough to watch. But single use characters and generic ones tended to suck IMO. Also the translation for the dub script changed some characters and things in ways I did not like from the way those same characters and situations came across in the subs.
When I went to the big chain theater to see CTHD the only showing (release day) were subbed. I was unaware there was a theatrical release with the dub. I had no problems with the version I saw.
Nintendo has offered to exchange consoles with one that supports that feature last time I checked their website. I find it strange that if you have been having that problem you didn't go looking for support. It's been a while, but they removed the port completely on the new production models,as I remember, so how could you have the proper cable plugged in and it not have the port in question. If you do have an older one with the port then either the game you are trying to play does not support progressive scan, you have failed to activate it in some way or it is broken.
So why not go do something about your problem instead of cussing out someone? You are not related to that guy from Oklahoma are you?
IMO clearly the wrong lizard got in. The problem is people vote for lizards because they believe if they don't the wrong lizard might get in. I was paraphrasing Douglas Adams and his insightful writing about the problem.
I do no believe that this was set up by the government, but there are a lot of issues with the official story and facts IMO.
I think that our government has done things in the past that makes it hard for people to trust what they say about incidents like this.
The one example I can think of is when the joint chiefs (I think, head military brass) got together and decided it would be a swell idea to shoot down a passenger plane full of Americans on it's way to Cuba and blame the Cubans as an excuse to invade.
While this idea was shot down (sorry could not resist) the fact that people thought it would be justified and good is enough to make one wonder if others would be willing to go that far or farther if it meant securing insane amounts of money and power.
"The Iron Giant just gets blown up, he doesn't magically reassemble."
But The Iron Man (Giant for Americans) does. He is alien tech on a level that seems like magic. The book(s if you want the Iron Woman) are quite good, and many things were not brought into the film.
In fact the book starts with The Iron Man falling off a cliff and getting broken to pieces. He then starts re-assembling.
Unlike your good example of The Little Mermaid, The Iron Man does not fail and die at the end of the story (it does not exactly have a perfectly happy ending either). I notice what looks to me to be reference to reincarnation in The Little Mermaid, and that was surprising when I first read the fairy tale again as an adult.
If you want to get angry about the film changing anything then how about the part where the dragon-like creature comes form deep space and starts demanding people to eat.
I thought Tales of Phantasia was one of the biggies for the SNES, around 48Mbit (add Star Ocean, Street Fighter Alpha II and Yoshi's Island to the list)?
People are probably saying what they heard on the Pen and Teller TV show Bullshit. You can find mention of it on wikipedia and the quote that is supposed to be proof. Having actually spent some time living in India at about the same level as the average person (no hotels or special crap and little to no money to spare) I think people are reading too much into the quote at wikipedia, because to me it is saying not to give into greed and let mindsets that put the pursuit of wealth over all else poison your mind. I could be wrong in that and am not reading it in the right context. I never blindly trust the information on bullshit, and take into account that they ignore details or slant things towards their bias (just like anyone alive will).
An obstetrician is a physician who has successfully completed specialized education and training in the management of pregnancy, labor, and pueperium (the time-period directly following childbirth).
A gynecologist is a physician who has a successfully completed specialized education and training in the health of the female reproductive system, including the diagnosis and treatment of disorders and diseases.
Typically, the education and training for both fields occurs concurrently. Thus, an obstetrician/gynecologist is a physician specialist who provides medical and surgical care to women and has particular expertise in pregnancy, childbirth, and disorders of the reproductive system. This includes preventative care, prenatal care, detection of sexually transmitted diseases, Pap test screening, and family planning.
An obstetrician/gynecologist, commonly abbreviated as OB/GYN, can serve as a primary physician and often serve as consultants to other physicians. OB/GYNs can have private practices, work in hospital or clinic settings, and maintain teaching positions at university hospitals. OB/GYNs may also work public health and preventive medicine administrations.
OB/GYNs have a broad base of knowledge and can vary their professional focus. Many develop unique practices, providing high-quality health care for women. OB/GYNs may choose to specialize in the following areas:
Acute and chronic medical conditions
Adolescent gynecology
Behavioral problems
Cancer
Endocrinology
Health maintenance during pregnancy
Infertility
Operative gynecology
Pregnancy and delivery
Preventative health
Urinary tract disorders
Education and Training Requirements
The education and training requirements for obstetrics/gynecology are set by the American Board of Obstetrics and Gynecology (ABOG) and include the following:
Graduation from an approved medical school
Completion of an OB/GYN residency program (minimum of 4 years in length) that is accredited by the American Council for Graduate Medical Education (ACGME)
Rotations divided between obstetrics, gynecology, gynecologic oncology, reproductive endocrinology, and ultrasonography
Experience in primary and preventive care role for the equivalent of at least 6 months of the residency, including inpatient and ambulatory care; diagnosis and management of breast disease and lower urinary tract dysfunction; performance and interpretation of diagnostic pelvic and transvaginal ultrasound
Increase in patient responsibility with each year of training
Serving as chief (senior) resident during final year of residency
Board Certification
Once the above requirements are met, physicians are allowed to take the certifying examinations given by ABOG. Physicians who pass the examination are granted board certified status in Obstetrics and Gynecology, a pre-requisite to subspecialty certification.
If certified in obstetrics and gynecology after 1986, the physician must complete a recertification process every 10 years to maintain certified status. If certified before 1986, the physician can take a voluntary recertification process.
Subspecialties
There are four recognized subspecialties in the field of obstetrics/gynecology: gynecologic oncology, maternal/fetal medicine, reproductive endocrinology and infertility, and urogynecology/reconstructive pelvic surgery. Each subspecialty has its own certification exams administered by ABOG, and physicians can become certified in one or more of them. Certification is valid provided the primary certification in obstetrics and gynecology is up-to-date.

Sadly it is real and not some kooky parody. Back in the 80's I was presented with a number of those things by some "concerned" Christians. I have also seen them for sale in some Christian book/paraphernalia stores.

You misspelled Mattel.
We (my wife and I) went with the black one so it would be perfect.

In "some" aplications, not across the board.

The largest SNES carts were 48Mb.
Set you A20 gate option in bios to FAST.
I'll only buy that if he is there to collect a Government Pig.
"Vanilla Sky"
I perfer it in the original Spanish version "Abre los Ojos" (open your eyes).

Reminds me of The Prisoner where almost each week they had a New #2. In this scenario that means #is is OBL, makes the ending even stranger.

When you're swimmin' in the creek and an eel bites your cheek that a moray.
I notice now, that I went outside of radio shack that the VEXX is programmable. Radio shack seems to play up the whole RC side of it.
But is it really a robot (both the soda machine and the VEXX thingy)? They seem to be glorified RC cars at best.

On the bright side we have 2 more movies coming with Johnny Depp bucking his swash. Hopefully they can live up to the first film at a minimum.
But the Firefox spelling plug-in's soul still burns.
"Someone's been watching too many 90s Spider-man cartoons with Michael Morbius in them."
Wasn't he that Sleapwalker dude?
