It's also worth noting that the music did play a big part in the story line of Zelda - Links Awakening for the GB, though it wasn't really a part of the gameplay. But the game was all about collection instruments from dungeons, and you could play up to three different tunes with your ocarina.
You sound almost like a troll. You make it sound like compatibility with GBA is not working, but really - it is fine.
Except for the missing multiplayer in games, which might not be a concern for everybody (many great games for the GBA are single player only), I don't see how the GBA compatibility is "half-arsed".
You mention two other things - first missing link-up with the gamecube. That doesn't make much of a difference unless playing Four Swords or Crystal Chronicles is a must for you, and it isn't if you buy the machine for playing games on the go. Except for these two games, gamecube-linkup is mostly a gimmick. And who cares about original game boy games anyway? The GBA has been out long enough that original GB games doesn't matter.
As long as opera is the only available browser for some of the more expensive Nokia and Sony-Ericsson mobile phones (and just about every other Symbian phone out there btw), I don't see why they shouldn't be able to keep going.
Has there ever been a handheld gaming system that was region locked? I know all of the previous Game Boys were region free - and I've always assumed it also held true for what little competition Nintendo has had in that field. It would have been bigger news if the Nintendo DS was going to be region locked...
Seems like internetnews.com were wrong when it was first posted. Scroll down to the bottom of the article. Now it says:
Corrects earlier version which incorrectly stated SP2 would include a built-in virus scanner. The offering actually includes a pop-up monitor that checks the settings of third-party anti-virus and firewall applications, and allows users to modify them if necessary.
A built in virus-scanner would have been nice, though;)
Since the first movie will be "The Lion, The Witch and The Wardrobe" (which is the second book), they probably skipped book one, The Magician's Nephew (which was, in fact, also written after the second book).
Also, they might choose to skip The Horse and His Boy since it's just a side-story. Or maybe the last book (The Last Battle), as suggested by another poster, because that one would probably be very hard to make into a good movie.
My guess would have been Danish since interesting is spelled "interesant" in that language. Then again, it might just have been borrowed from French. Hard to tell.
I lost you when you said Final Fantasy X had a decent story. Okay game, but story sucked - I liked Auron though, and some of the other characters were okay too. I'm going to buy FFX-2 since it looks like it'll be at least as good as FFX. If I wanted a great story, I've be watching anime instead:) (or buying Homeworld 2 maybe)
It also doesn't bring any cool network functionality to the table. All of the games are just that... games. I might as well get a GBA and a phone.
I'm not sure exactly what you meant, but it should be possible to play multiplayer games using GPRS according to the official FAQ. I don't now if any such games had been made yet, but I don't see why an hand-held MMORPG shouldn't be possible to do.
I'm quite sure there is a patch up already on windows update. My computer was patched just hours ago. I really don't see anything special about this story. What's so special about this flaw?
I stopped wearing my wrist watch the day I got my first cell phone. I've never felt comfortable wearing a watch like that, and with my phone in my pocket, I'll just have to pull out my phone to see what time it is. It's like a modern pocket watch.
Some of the newest Ericsson and Nokia phones probably does a lot more than these new microsoft watches anyway... But if people really like to have a PDA on their arm, why not incorporate a phone into it as well? Anyway, there wouldn't be much point in having both a cell phone and a wrist watch with build-in video/audio-player. Especially not if you had a seperat PDA as well. The technology would have to be built into one single device for it to be pratical, I think... it will probably happen some day. I wonder if it will be phone, watch or something else:)

Also, take a look at www.analogx.com. He has made a lot of free and interessting software for windows. Some of it is actually useful too :)
Well well, isn't the unplayable stored mode what counts? The size only matters when carrying it around (except if it's too big to hold, of course).

A torrent would be even better.

Hello? The Aliens vs. Predator games? Even I enjoyed AvP2 even though I'm not a big fan of FPSs.
What if they haven't changed the source - just recompiled it?
Depends on which All In Wonder card you have. 9600? 9800?

I think it's impressing that old jokes like these still gets moderated up. I'm going to ignore the +5 Funny comments real soon now.

heh, your post reminds me of OGG THE CAVEMAN ;)
The original Lords of the Realms had similar gameplay as well, I think. I don't remember that game too well though...
Since when has Windows Media Player supported DivX out of the box? It still the most used format for dvd-rips and the likes.
Please, people. Just look at his previous posts on slashdot. This guy hasn't worked for Sega.

What's your point? He's just explaining why computers doesn't help education. Even though the computers were crackable, it wouldn't help the majority.
I usually use telnet to configure my Cisco Router. I've never tried using a serial port and cable.
> Ever heard of Be, Inc. or the Be Box?
Exactly. This hasn't happened since Be.
