I have a very commonly used username at a both hotmail and yahoo. I say that at least 2 or 3 emails that I get every day are from other timlee's in the world using my email addresses as junkmail addresses (ie, "Thank you for joining the Church of blah" or "Thank you for your interest in a new car at XXX dealership" or "Thank you for your adult video order"). It's my life goal to hunt every one of them down and beat them senseless.
Needless to say, when I got GMail, I voluntarity didn't get my usual username.
I don't think that will work. Body surface temprature and core body temprature differs a great amount. In fact, body surface temprature differs by varying amounts. Have you ever shook someone's hand and realized that they were ice cold? That sort of thing will pose a problem to temprature sensors.
The best way to keep someone from going in your front door is to simply put more locks on your door. I say use a series of recognition devices varying from high tech solutions (voice or iris scanners) to to low tech solutions (security guards).
I agree with that. I also think that since storage space is no longer an issue, it's all about who has the best GUI. Google is probably the best that I can see so far because of its Labels system instead of Folders. It takes getting used to but it is definitely better. My only complaint is that they should allow users with more control over how the message looks. But it's only in beta and I sent feedback about this already so hopefully they decide to implement it.
That has a lot of disadvantages because many legit buyers look for "instant delivery" and "24/7 service." If you want someone to wait 2 to 5 days for a CD to arrive with access codes to how they can get the goods they paid for when there are hundreds of other sellers out there who are willing to ship instantly, then you are going to lose that customer plain and simple.
I think PayPal, with its current policies, is not geared to serve virtual trading. There needs to be a service that can verify virtual delivery of virtual goods. However that in itself is a problem because game developers are generally against the real life trading of their virtual goods that they technically still own.
The line between virtual and physical goods is still very defined. The cooperation of game developers is needed in order to cross this line and for safe transactions to occur.
Care to cite your sources? I read that the per capita income of each character inside EverQuest is about $2,266 USD annually. That is greater than the GDP of contries like India, Bulgaria, and China. However that has nothing to do with the stock market.

This won't reduce the amount of junk mail I get. Like music sharing, spamming will only go deeper underground now that it has become illegal (well, at least restricted). I will continue to get spam until the internet has advanced enough to allow me to reach out and stab spammers in the eye.

Xbox is my console of choice. However I have to complain about the lack of RPGs for the system, especially online capable ones. While Sony is gettings games like Final Fantasy XI and EverQuest, Xbox has released two that I am barely interested in; Morrowind and KotOR. Both of which are not online capable. I mean hell, Xbox has a NIC built right in! Make use of it!
With True Fantasy Online recently canceled and Fable looking further and further away, I'm starting to look at Playstation more and more as a serious alternative to Xbox just to play my Final Fantasy series.
Two board games that I still can play and enjoy are Risk and Settlers. These two games are amazingly simple, yet because of the infinite strategies involved, can provide endless hours of entertainment.
I'm sure most of you know what Risk is. Basically, you can have up to 6 players and the objective is to take over enemy territory using die rolls to determine the victor. (Yes, a primitive form of D&D I guess but I never played the latter so I wouldn't know).
Settlers is much more complicated. The object is to mine resources and build roads and towns (which cost resources to build). Each road/town is assigned points and the first player to 20 points is the winner. There are other variations of the game as well which allow extended multiplayer as well as expansions. (Hmm I guess I would compare it to a primitive Warcraft now that I think about it)
So yeah, take a look at those two.

For the record: I was suckered into that interview under false pretenses. Only at the very end of the interview did Mr. Poulsen reveal the true nature of his article, namely to accuse my friend Chuck Clark of stealing one of the sensors. This is a lie, fabricated for a cheap story!
Upon learning this, I immediately requested that he not use my interview. Mr. Poulsen refused, hung up on me and since then does not return my calls or emails.
This is certainly not very good journalism, and I most certainly want to distance myself from the article, which is based on lies and speculation.
Although most of my experiences with the media were very positive, all it takes is one bad experience. In the future I will certainly be more reluctant to work with the media. A lesson Chuck has obviously learned long before me.

My very first RPG ever which I got for a birthday present when I was but a young lad of 9 or 10. Thus began my decent into dorkdom.
