What makes spyware and adware differerent from a virus? What qualifies it as something different? Its a goddamn virus. If it removes functionality, causes problems with the machine, slows it down, makes it unuseable, crashes it before the desktop comes up, makes it reboot, sends information about you out on the net without your permission, breaks in without at least a click to initiate the install. We at Apple wondered why it is called iLife when it is incomplete. There was no porn managing software. Now, iLife '05 adds iCum. iCum is a completely integrated porn management suite. Using the video functions of iCum, behind the scenes, a usenet reader autosenses attachments in posts, and presents them to the user by the preview .jpg. If this is unavailable, iCum downloads enough of the clip to show a frame 8 seconds into the video. Auto par, unrar, and hjsplit functions are included and transparent to the user. Quicktime integration for auto-codec retreval and auto-playlist generation for split video files. Integration with iDVD means that a simple drag of the preview jpg will burn a session onto DVD with the entire scene with chapter breaks where the file is split.

In still photo mode you can point iCum to picture-based groups, and by examining cross-posts with other groups, iCum can passover many spam posts showing the same pictures. Set it to scan and iCum will download all pictures in selected groups and store them in an ecrypted Filevault of a hidden user account. It will then allow for running iPhoto under that user via a password WITHOUT SWITCHING USERS.

A search mode will search all requested newsgroups and will save searches. The saved searches area allows for passive searching and PVR-like capabilities and downloading on P2P networks when the computer is idle. Walk up to your computer the next day and iCum will have a series of clips based on common downloads with your favorite stars. This utilizes iCum specific P2P plugins for the new Sherlock.

Integration with iMovie allows for video markers to be placed automatically in the clip an saves to .fukmov for use with your iVod portable movie players' new iJerk attachment powered by the iVod via firewire for hands-free jerking. Both male and female version have resevoirs available that hold 5 ounces of fluid so they may be used descretly in public without an immediate cleanup.

iCum integrates with iChat to allow for iJerk functionality via external controls included with the iJerk unit.

iLife 05 will be available 4th quarter 2004 and will retail for $69.69 and will bundled with iJerk.

iVod will be available 1st quarter 2005 and will be bundled with 5 ounce resevoirs for public iJerk use.

Cable also currently does not use the 8VSB over cable standard that was agreed upon way back, they use QAM which is fine beacause now stuff is being made to receive QAM. Cox, however is offering the two locals it is offering in encrypted QAM (like the rest of the digitals) and I have read somewhere that this practice is flat-out illegal. Now, what to do with the workers that used to work at the fast food. Create a ridiculous project subsidized by all of the fast food industry to say, build a bridge across the Atlantic. Pump it up on television in between reality shows to make the public believe that it is possible. This should kill off quite a few...and in fifty-one hundred years; we may have thrown enough people at it that we might have that bridge, or half of one. At my company we currently use 9 of the Verizon Wireless Aircard 555 cards to get onto their 3G(2.5G) 1x Express Network.

Coverage is patchy, but decent. Large external antennas are not readily available, so custom antennas are used tuned by a local antenna company. Modifications to the cantenna design used sometimes with 802.11 also work, but of course they are highly directional. Signal strength really only has to do with your likelyhood of getting knocked off, not with your throughput.

Throughput on average is comparable to a 56k dial-up w/o the use of their propiatary Venturi Compression software which is not compatible with our application. Latency is pretty bad and sort of kicks our database snyc app in the balls as far as speed goes. SSL is also a bit problematic, but it hasn't kicked me off yet until after bank transactions preformed completed(sometimes knocks you off when disengaging an SSL session).

The main software(sans Venturi), works pretty well, and the new update allows XP to recognize the network connection better once initiated.

Updating your Preferred Roaming List is a must. The preferred roaming list is the list of valid cell towers that the card can use. (its *22890 from the voice tab in watcher, have no idea what sprint's is.)

Internet Printing to main office printers can be very slow, for example just a test page takes 2 minutes before the destination server gets it all and tells the printer to start printing.

Here's the biggest tip I can give you, when you get the card, throw away the disk that comes with it. Jump on the web and grab the newest software/driver then burn it/throw it on a pen drive, whatever you got to do. You will thank yourself for not being lazy and just using the pack-in-disk for now and upgrading later. (Especially on your XP clients!)

Pretty nice to be able to do these things, but for $99/mo unlimited, I would at this time expect more bandwidth. But, I do think we are lucky. In an era where they think we want to A, Take Pictures??? with our phone, B, Instant Message with a phone keypad?!??, C, Run our batteries down with games when the battery doesn't last very long anyway?!?! -- They actually have something out that is useful. I would like to see true 3G happen tommarow still, but you know I guess maybe at this point you would think that any phone you buy would have bluetooth, and you would be wrong.
