Maybe I'm just crazy, but it's almost as if females are getting over-exposure in the gaming world as goddesses or stand-out individuals. In truth, most of them just want to be treated equally, and not be shown as some person that we should all revere. Respect them like you would any other gamer stranger.
This is coming from my experience with my girlfriend who is just as much of a gamer as I am. Of course, her birthday is on Xmas, but still insists to NOT treat her any more special than we would if her birthday wasn't there, so she may just be forcing the great equalizer issue.
And for $299 you can get a Zodiac1 with a 200Mhz CPU, 16MB internal RAM, 8MB graphics chip, 480x320x16 resolution, bluetooth, and everything above and beyond it. Of course, if you want a really bad phoen, be my guest
While it has no DVD issues, the Xbox has a TON of CD playing issues. A large portion of my music CDs would not play in my roommates's (3 of them) Xboxen.
Let's see. .. Annoying friggin' sound on every page? CHECK Sub-par construction of Legos? CHECK
In all honesty, just because a guy can throw together some crappy models and paint a minifig doesn't make him a genius. Brickshelf had some image of a MUCH better looking REX. This is really amateur work. Heck, look at the supposed Warthog. I've seen better MOCs from shaking up a box.
On Thursday I saw his name on the presenters list in that room. Unfortunately, he was talking to the freshman, and I'm a sophomore. I brought Core Contingency to get it signed, but just missed him, but this DEFINETLY makes up for it.
Now I'm going to reinstall the game and try to convince my roommates to play it. Any tips to get them to play a 7-year-old title??;)
People are going to flame ya, but I totally get what you mean. Just understand only the extremists care to voice their opinion. The silent majority is the one that shows it by purchasing the games that are the best.
Game.Com: I kinda liked the device. It was a pity my favorite game was Lights Out.;) The pocket pro has nice design. I loved the backlight and touchscreen, but unfortunately the refresh rate was far too low to enjoy games for too long.
Lynx: I purchased one off of eBay some years back with a whole bunch of games and accessories (All new). Not too bad, great games, especially Chip's Challenge and the Mahjongg one, but unfortunately the cards lacked memory and ate batteries.
Game Gear: It was ok, but everytime I saw someone playing it, they were using an AC adapter to play it. It defeats the purpose, plus it didn't fit in your pocket. Although the Disney games were some of the best.
Nomad: Battery WHORE.
Turbo Express: THICK, bright screen.
GP32: I like SM cards, but the community is built off of pirated roms and emulators. Plus the Zodiac2 blows it away now.
NGPC: Got one at Fry's with 6 games for $70. Great deal. I love it all around. There's a reason it was #1.
N-Gage: I own an MDM game that works in PPC, PalmOS and N-Gage. I hate the N-Gage.
Microvision: A collector's item I'd like to have.
Wonderswan: I never really had a chance to see one. Some games intrigued me, especially the MMBN on it.
Yeah, once you're old enough to drink, apparently you're supposed to relish in virtually killing other people as the only way to have fun, lest you become homosexual or a pedophile.
Actually, the top selling title this year was Pokemon Ruby/Sapphire (Counting combined sales, #2 and #3 if you don't), Mario Kart was #7 and Wind Waker was #5. That was in the US, and there weren't any Xbox titles in the top 10 either. Considering Mario Kart was out for less than 6 weeks out of 52 and made #7, that's pretty darn good. Of course, Vice City is #6, smack dab between the two.
No other company had 4 titles in the top 10. I'd say they're doing just fine. Take your holier-than-though attitude elsewhere, assuming your opinion is of the masses isn't always the way it works out. Could it be that there's a balance in the sales? Or is that just beyond your comprehension?
EA hasn't decided yet. They aren't against it. Don't word the headline to make it seem like they turned it down. It's the negative mantra like this that I don't understand.
Konami and Namco are for it only because they have some sort of faith in Nintendo like with the Triforce (Besides, Castlevania would work a lot better with the stats and map constantly available). I doubt Nintendo has released all the info on the hardware yet, even to the developers, so showing reserve right now is logical.
EA supports everything anyway, it's a monster game company machine.
I got one for my brother for Xmas, making up for the fact my family got me a Zire71 when those came out.
As a PDA, there's hardly one out there more powerful. Dual SD slots, rumble, ATI gfx chip, stereo sound, 4analog, Hi-Res+ display, 128MB of onboard memory, bluetooth. This thing has it all. I am serious when I would recommend it to hardcore pda users.
As a GBA-replacement, it's not ready yet. The development is ramping up quite nicely, but is slowed a bit by Tapwave's method of signing programs. Basically it locks a program you're developing to 1 pda, so you can develop it, and when you're done, can market it completely after passing their testing.
Of course, that's only for the Zodiac-specific features. It sounds constrictive, but it makes sense. (Until it's cracked!;) You're trying to hold developers back, it won't work for too long)
One last note. The GP32 is no longer the rogue handheld for making emulators for. The Zodiac is the new king.
Although it does lack a universal connector, but given time, trust me, this thing will become popular. You haven't seen the last of Tapwave.
Well, my girlfriend actually got the WQV-3 for me. We were walking around a department store, saw it was on sale, and she got it for me. She made some comment about taking pictures of other women.
But I can't really compare her to other women. She got excited when she ordered a Dreamcast-shaped tissue box holder.
Well, it's come in handy (No pun intended, honest!) in quite a few situations. I remember one time I was leaving a family friend's business and saw my friend's truck in the auto repair business next door. I snapped a pick of the truck and showed it to him later.
It's the unexpected moments that surprise you with the usefulness of it.
Of course, like I said, I have a PDA with a camera now (which is about 100x better) and my Sanyo 8100 also has a camera, so I'd like to cut down on all the friggin' lenses.
The Zire71's camera is nice because I can easily rotate photos, see them in color and save them directly as jpgs. Plus, held sideways, it looks like a real camera with a nice viewfinder. I've taken pictures of high scores at DDR machines in the arcade, group shots with other cameras. Basically it's like always having a camera around without the extra bulk. And with my 128MB and a 256MB SD card, space is never an issue.
But getting to your question, the watch is quite old and outdated now so most images are small and blurry. I'm sure Casio could easily make an SD-based one with much better images, but that ain't out yet. Until that time I couldn't really recommend it with all the other alternatives now.
Comparison: http://planetmew.com/wqv.jpg http: //planetmew.com/mich.jpg (Hint: The better image isn't from the watch)

Oligopoly.
I could be wrong, but isn't that state where the major companies make it incredibly difficult for start-ups to exist? Like a car company?
Wow. I wish someone would buy me GBAs to play on their console.
Did it ever occur to you to get people who ALREADY OWN GBAs to play with you?
They're made in Mexico.
For as many failed units that Sony throws out, it still amazes me when people associate the word Sony with Quality.

The DS is in it's own class.
The GBA's successor (With at least a 320x240 screen) is going to compete the with PSP, not the DS.
I'm sure you'll get better explanations, but it boiled down to this:
Humans in robot suits vs. Robots with human brains.

Unless they add DC to it, this game is going to suck.
It's so sad that Marvel sold out to EA for this.
Of course, aside from MK:DA, what good American fighting games have been released recently?
What percent people actually are suceptible to such flashes?
People are going to flame ya, but I totally get what you mean. Just understand only the extremists care to voice their opinion. The silent majority is the one that shows it by purchasing the games that are the best.
One word comes to mind when I look at this image that makes other people go apeshit and that word is "plastic."
The PSX D-pad is still a d-pad, but there's a plastic overlay across the diagonals. They aren't seperate buttons.
