  1. For interested Canadians on I'm Just Here for the Food · · Score: 2

The show is also on the Canadian FoodTV cable channel. Here's a link to show times. Food TV has a strange broadcast schedule, so it's worth checking the website to see when things are on.

There's a decent article on CocoaDevCentral about setting up CVS and ProjectBuilder.

I managed to get it working without too much trouble. It works pretty much the way you'd expect an IDE to work with SCM.

There's a Cube attached to a Cinema Display in 'Dark Angel'. At least, it used to be a cube. Oh well, show's cancelled now, anyway.

Not to mention the best soundtrack ever. U2, Nick Cave, Talking Heads, R.E.M., Elvis Costello, a great Depeche Mode track. I love that film.

First of all, there's the fact that a lightsaber, in the hands of a well-trained operator, is a defensive as well as an offensive weapon.

Remember Obi-Wan's line from Star Wars, "An elegant weapon, from a more civilized time."

Elegant and civilized; two words never used to describe Jerry Pournelle.

You gotta think at this point that IE is the weak link in the chain. Darwin is solid, OS X is solid, but IE is a major security hazard, at least in reputation. The only security notice I've gotten through Software Update has been and IE patch.

Of course, for demos like this, Chimera just looks better, 'cos it's got anti-aliased fonts and native widgets.

No, he's saying that the best platform for non-technical types is the Mac. He's dead-on.
That's the beauty of the system. It's much kinder to people who don't know, or don't want to know, how the guts work, but if you want to get under the hood, it's the best platform for that, too.

Those Epsons are complete lemons. My Dad bought one, and the paper feed stopped working. He swapped it under warranty, but then the paper feed broke on the new one. Thise time it was out of warranty, so I took it apart. A tiny spring had come off the hook on the feed cam. Five minutes later, and it was as good as new. Those things are built like a cheap Tawianese toy.
