I don't know. Huffington Post and DailyKos were the two big attempts of the left wing to create their own "viral" websites. The end result's been a lot of hate speech, a whole lot of banned commentariat, and very little if anything accomplished.
Huffington Post's biggest claim to fame in recent years has been as a haven for the anti-vaccination lunacy of retards like Jenny McCarthy, Dana Ullman, and followers of Andrew Wakefield.
When I read the summary that is what I thought....'isn't he describing a private WAN?'.... Critical infrastructure control systems shouldn't be connected to the open internet, period.
The CEO's can loosen their purse strings and hire someone to monitor the systems instead of trying to do it remotely.
Ummmm....most of the time, they ask you your name so when they are finished and you are walking around the local Wally World waiting on your tires to be installed, they don't have to page you over the store PA and say "Would the person with the mohawk and stud in their tongue please return to automotive? Your car is ready".....duhhhh....
Fricken paranoid...
Once you leave a company, you don't have to support shit as long as you haven't signed some stupid contract forcing you to do so. If they have the passwords and can access THEIR systems, they can do what they want.
Of course if they call you back, you can always charge them out the ass in consulting fees, but you don't HAVE to come back and work for them. They can always hire someone else if you don't wish to work for them. This isn't indentured servitude.
Oh, please. You think most governments are going to pay the money required to have someone on staff with enough expertise to review and compile open source code? They are going to do whatever it takes as cheaply as it takes to get the software it needs from the lowest priced vendor or whomever gives them the best deal...
Wait, spend $$$$$$$ to hire a competent programmer or systems engineer to evaluate, compile and SUPPORT this code or spend $$ to buy copies of Winxp or Vista from CDW and buy ready to go software from large vendor who can sell below cost to take out open source vendor?
You tell me...
I can't see the video due to Websense at work blocking Youtube (grrrrr), but from what the description describes, isn't this system similar to what Tony Stark had in the Iron Man movie?
The holographic desktop projections were pretty cool for that movie. He would just grab a portion of the armor and throw it in the virtual trashcan.
I am assuming that was a *nix command. The GP probably attempted command from a Windows box, which does not recognize that command and spews forth the quoted error...
Nobody took a hint when he moved to FOX news?
No shit!!!!!! Mod parent up!

Yawn.....go back to Fox News where you belong....
I think you all are thinking of JIMMY Page (Led Zeppelin).
You might want to read up on Enron and their shenanigans in regards to brownouts. That occurred AFTER deregulation was implemented...
Amen! Where are my mod points when I really need them?
It IS the rabbit!!!
I hadn't heard of this one! Great find! I don't feel so bad after all about losing Goog 411...
Agreed! I used it alot instead of shelling out $1.50 for 411 calls via Verizon..... crap....
AC, unless you have something meaningful to add, please be quiet and go back to your parent's basement; because you have no freaking clue...

Oh, for once in your dreary, lonely life, just laugh and appreciate harmless spontaneity, you hopelessly miserable, cynical person.
I love that! Can I use that for a sig? Priceless!
Meh....I am waiting on the H-Ks to be rolled out....

Your space garbage will be assimilated.....resistance is futile....
Good God...where are my mod points when I need them? Great summation! :)
I bet John Travolta would LOVE to get one of these! Might take some getting used to compared to the jetliner he owns! :)
MOD PARENT UP! Friend, if I could I would buy you a drink...

Have you not read any of the previous posts or are you just trolling? Go back to your Mommy's basement and hush...
