I, too, used to get MBs of virus email through an account in Japan; I contacted the user who claimed to be innocent; I even asked him to run a virus checker,etc; it didn't get better, so I contacted the postmaster; they ignored me for awhile until I started forwarding the offending email with headers to them and to the user with the promise of a multiplier effect every week until it is fixed;
Even 18 year olds, while technically adults, can't drink.
People are technically adults at a younger age, but in order to keep as many of these people alive as possible, and more importantly, to keep some of them from hurting older people, certain rules need to be made;

Also, shouldn't I remember that a major source of hatred and violence is poverty and so by enforcing a situation where my country is richer, I'm only making it more likely that the poor people will try and knock my country down?
Why is it that people think that the poor need to be bribed not to kill me; I was poor at one time, I didn't steal or kill to improve my situation; I simply worked harder than others had to and things got better;

With all of the people here that agree that copy protection isn't good, the clear answer is to start a new record company that does things the right way - if one person can't do it alone, I know there are enough people with the same interests that could pool resources; i.e., if its broke, fix it yourself; this also applies to books, software, etc;
The lost credibility idea you present is interesting; now that they are picking and choosing what viruses to alert the customer to, how can we trust that they won't have a corporate "Platinum subscription" where a company can pay them enough money to overlook some uninvited code?
My tv card (some card in a Toshiba 7200) worked easily in Beos - still doesn't work yet in Linux
I was just at a .Net release demo - .net is nice, but they did have to reboot once during the onstage demo!
