I would imagine they are filtering out any requests that have a referrer that is anything other than the page in the test that comes directly before this one.
I wonder if they were measuring XP Home or XP Pro. I have noticed XP Pro is much more stable than XP Home. I have noticed that Home has the old school 9x problem of getting worse the longer it is installed, until the only thing that can save it is a complete wipe and reinstall. Pro, on the other hand, is very solid, and I have never noticed a decrease in performance over time.

Actually, the eye going south of Cape Canaveral can acutally be worse than a direct hit, as the northwest side of a hurricane is the strongest portion. Couple that with the storm surge that goes along with that side, and taking the eye head on is sometimes the better deal.
Did you ever think that it hasn't reduced the number of blaster hits your firewall blocks because it hasn't been rolled out for general consumption yet?
What has bothered me more is that, in speaking, we insist on "shortening" a three-syllable phrase (worldwide web) to a nine-syllable acronym (www). And saying "dub dub dub" just sounds stupid.
Um, if they are going to dock the OQO, why don't they just dock their laptop? All the power, files they worked on during travel all ready available, and no extra cost.
The Lynx was a better system, which smoked the original GameBoy in terms of graphics. Yet today, GBs all around, and not a Lynx to be seen. Why? Because people would rather play 10 hours of a soso-looking game than 2 hours of a great-looking game.
NOAA has also told its employees to stop using IE. Unfortunately for us, though, Netscape 4.7 is the only other browser that is default installed (goes with the mail client), so now everyone is using that, and wondering why all the pages suddenly look like crap (we stopped designing for 4.7 a year ago). There was a rumor that we are being upgraded to NS7.2, but I have yet to hear any further details.
Firefox is a bad ass jet that was developed during the Cold War. Luckly, Clint Eastwood stole it, and destroyed the second working prototype.
Thunderbird(s) is an elite rescue squad of puppets, though I have heard that they have upgraded to humans this year. Hopefully that won't degrade their performance.
Like the parent said, because it is the most commonly used browser. It might be like comparing a recent car to a Model-T, which seems lame, but not once you realize that 90% of the people out there are driving Model-T's. Really not that hard to understand.
Read the article. At one point, it mentions a game where Baby Mario is falling, and you have to draw clouds along his path to direct him, or something like that. That goes a bit beyond maps and status.
Another bonus of the government jobs is that the chance that your position will go overseas is considerably less than in the private sector. And it continues to decrease as you go up the government ladder (local, county, state, federal).
Everyone who wants to be freed will be. However, there will be those who, like Cypher, reject the real world and want to return to the Matrix. They will basically fight against those trying to free more people. So it is human vs. human in the Matrix. Of course, Merv and his folk, as well as Agents, will be involved as well. Should be interesting.
I am wondering if the touchscreen is replacing the controller. What if the second screen were where the buttons and d-pad are, and each game could customize not just the reaction to certain buttons pressed, but number and placement of those buttons?
It would probably suck, but it is still an interesting thought.
Shhhh...you smell something?

I like my women how I like my breakfast cereal: With 1 cup of 2% Vitamin D enriched milk.
I prefer two cups myself

You know what he can do with all that money?
Two chicks at the same time.

Didn't we just do a similar article less than a week ago?

Yup, looks like we did. I know
And no, I am not new here.

Is this similar to "...Profit!"?
Two Words: Battery Life

Jesus people. This isn't an Either/Or situation. You can code great looking, highly functional websites that work in both IE and Moz.
If your Web Designer/Developer can't do this, then you have employee problems, not technology problems.
Would you classify that as a launch problem or a design problem?

Yes, but Nintendo is dying, remember? So everyone is required to spin any news in the console market as being bad for Nintendo.

I would rather see David Eddings' Belgariad or Mallorean done. Those have some potential to be awesome in the theater.

Do you really think that I am the only one that uses that word?
Wait, I saw an AC post using the word stupid! It must be you posting.
