Nonsense! America is the land of the free!
Why, here in the U.S. we are free to say anything we want about the government, complain all we want. Hell, we can even burn our flag.
It may not be "nice", but it's not against the law!

    That's ridiculous.
You are putting racial overtones into something that has NONE. They aren't "African-American-Lists" and "Caucasian-Lists". They are black and white, as in NIGHT and DAYLIGHT. Since we've been huddled in caves a pitch black night has been dangerous. Predators hunt by night. Criminals work by dark.

This is as silly as the feminist movement protesting the word "Chairman" and having it changed to "Chairperson". The origin of the "man" in "chairman" is the word "manipulate", "mano" (hand), etc. NOT male.

    > I have 80gigs to backup. I currently use a friends machine, but it would be nice to pay about $20/month and not have to maintain it mayself.

Get another 80 Gig hard drive. They go for about $0.40/Gig with rebates (see www.bensbargains.net). Put it inside your machine or in an external USB enclosure.

Get Norton Ghost, or if you don't want to pay for Norton Ghost, make a Knoppix CD for free and use 'ntfsclone'.

Make exact images of your hard drive once a week. It may not be "online" but it couldn't get much easier.

    Cost:
    Drive: approx. $32
    External USB enclosure: approx. $30
    Knoppix: free
    Total: $62.
Time to make a ghost/ntfsclone backup: 30 seconds to click GO, then go do something else for an hour.

So for about $5/month you have a simple easy to do backup system.

    > Though Nintendo hasn't done very well compared to the PS2

The whole point of TFA is that Nintendo HAS done well, better than SONY and Microsoft combined when your measurement is profit. Nintendo has made ONE BILLION dollars in profit in the past year, Sony has made 400 MILLION dollars in profit, and Microsoft has LOST 550 MILLION dollars.

If you measure by market share or third party support or sales volume or even income then Nintendo doesn't win, but if you measure who is making (and keeping) the most money, Nintendo wins hands down.

No, it's proof that the feds don't CARE what the technical limitations are. If you want to offer dialtone, you have to support 911 emergency calls. If a given technology can't support 911 calls then they don't want it being used for telephone service.

People have died because of this. They don't really care why it's difficult to fix.

Somehow I think the technical difficulties will be solved. Even if it means a database of IP address to geographic location mappings.
