    I'm shocked at how low the fines are above. Here in Canada, it starts at about$400 and 3-4 pts. They managed to lop it into the category of dangerous driving offense.

    I know one issue about textbooks,least here in Canada is that the bookstore selling the books is an independent company not affiliated with the school. Of course they're going to try and make a profit from a monopolized situation.

    Usually they're"free for pickup" on sites like Kijiji or Craigslist. Pick up a truck load, setup shop selling.

    You're not the first to say that. I had considered a few trips this summer to the U.S to visit friends. After all this nonsense, I decided to cancel and to exploring Europe.

  10. My work phone is still running 4.4.1. it has NEVER been offered an update ever. Samsung took the money and ran with this one. Personal phone being Nexus, updated monthly.

    Not everyone uses teh Goole Chrome. Iceweasel was the way to go. Now they got it working, I no longer have an account due to shrinking library of classics.

    I'd love to update. My Samsung work phone has NEVER received an update ever. Still 4.4.1. Personal use my Nexus updates couple times a month.

  16. What's even worse was, after pink slip they wouldn't pay out last pay or any type paperwork. Still chasing them for tax forms. Contacted govt, they're in no hurry to chase them either.

  17. I'm not surprised these days. I had requested time off work when my daughter was in the hospital. Employer said I know she's sick but we need you here, if you can't be here.....well..... Pink slip came.

    If you're pro Audi then you probably are aware that Audi is made by VW, who also own a multitude of other car companies too. Toyota cars are rubbish, they always appear with at least 1 on the worst cars list.

    Agreed. I'm not about to pay $30 for a Blu-ray that I'll probably watch only once because there is no local video store rental place. Netflix, doesn't have it. I won't give iShit any money ever. If it's a classic I've watched 10+ times it's usually in a Walmart discount bin for $8 (fair price) and I buy it. I wouldn't pay the $30 to see a new movie because there is a 80% chance the movie is going to be recycled garbage and suck.
