My last update was from Samsung Galaxy S3 to the S7. The reasons being much better camera and wanting to try the Samsung/Occolus VR googles.
And my two requirements are:
1. Headphone jack
2. Support for secondary SD-Card storage so that I can have 256GB+ storage for video, audio and pictures without extortionist prices (Internal storage for apps only)
So the way things are going now, it seems my S7 will have to last for a long, long time.
Don't look for sensibility when it comes to book pricing. Not that long ago distributors tried charging more for an eBook then a paperback, because you know.. greed. And if not for a silent revolt by readers refusing to buy something less for more, they probably still would.
Quote shamelessly stolen from some webpage, but it says it all.
What are the best music players for Windows?” foobar2000 is ranked 1st while Winamp is ranked 9th. The most important reason people chose foobar2000 is:
Foobar2000 has a clean, minimalistic UI, small filesize, and is light on resource usage.
Flying cars have been 'any day now' for the last 20 years at least. The only thing that has changed since then, is the emergence of auto pilots that might solve the problem of how to manage flight logistic and safety. Because manual flight for the average Joe as a means of transportation is never going to happen.. But the main problem still remains the same as 20 years ago. Short of some revolutionary new battery or incredibly efficient motor it's not going to be practical. Making something fly takes a lot of energy. So you end up with some bastard hybrid car with wings, that aren't very good for either for flying or driving on roads.
The traditional PC will not go away for as longs as people have real work they need to do. You know, for example to create all that content that people like to consume on their latest fab device.
The war on 'piracy' was lost the moment people started connecting computers to the Internet. Everybody knows the only way to 'win this war' is to make whatever the latest fad they want you to use is, more convenient then managing your own media archive.
Did you read the article? Only 16% of the 449% Goggle Home sales growth, came from the US.
The main problem with Amazon Echo, is that when I go to Amazon and try to order one, it simply says "This item does not ship to ". Simply because I do not live in a English speaking country. Never mind if I wanted a English speaking Echo or not.
If Intel marketing started claiming higher percentage gains with the HW mitigations on new chips, then the 5-10 percent they say we lose today. Buy now, it's 20 percent faster clock for clock then previous generation chips!
Every time you get GDPR spam, it is because the site or service used to or plan to collect information about your that falls under the GDPR. Makes you think doesn't it..
The concept of learning algorithms was developed in the 60's and Deep Learning was coined in the late 80's. Either had hardly any practical application at the time they where introduced. Fast forward and companies are now poring billions into this kind of technology. Point being nobody cared about most things, before they suddenly became the next big thing.
Microsoft has been pushing Windows 10 hard, very hard indeed as the only option for 3 years now. And even with users having no choice, it just now crossed 36 percent adoption. Meanwhile the 9 years old and deprecated (by MS) Windows 7 still maintains a healthy 42 percent. Pretty much says everything there is to say about Windows 10.
So why, in the age of drones are you still drinking Cola?
Because there is so much to 'hate' (dislike is the word you are looking for)?
With flat unit sale numbers, there is a limit to how much they can keep increasing prices to maintain revenue growth before sales starts to drop.
there is a good reason for the update.

So the i7 is now what used to be the i5 series but with i7 prices, and the new i9 is i7 at a new higher price range?
If Apple would sell replacement parts, then people would not have to scam service centers to get them would they?

I imagine they will just continue with the killing? Unless it happens to be a pacifist hacker that is..
When Carmack speaks, I listen.

Sure thing. Next time I'll write in my native language (Norwegian), and make sure to correct any grammatical mistakes you'll make in that language.
