They are a company. Their sole point of existance is to make money. They aren't a charity FFS.

They have employees that need to be paid, and they have probably enormous bills that need to be paid. Its going to be in their interest to make money.

I think as companies go, they are pretty generous.. they still get respect from me.

Oh thats it.. play the terrorism trump card.

I know you say 'I'm by no means saying you should be suspect of *any* foreign person..' - but really you don't mean it. You wouldn't have made such a post in the first place if you didn't really mean it.

At the end of the day we are a global economy.. our card numbers and personal bits of information have been flying all over the globe for years now. Quite frankly I trust the people working in the indian call centres as much as I trust the person working down the high street in my own city bank.. i've worked with a number of consultants from India on coding projects here in the UK and have found them to be nothing but exceptionally dedicated, meticulous and hard working.

Just because they are foreign, it doesn't automatically make them a potential terrorist for christs sake.

Indeed. I went well off Realplayer.. Realplayer 8 was the last one I used. Now I know that was probably as bad as the rest of them for spyware and calling home, etc, but when it started to get to RealOne player with 'messaging centres' that popped up annoying dialogues and such stuff that I really felt enough was enough!

Thankfully Real Alternative seems to work exceptionally well and has enabled me to use Real Media streams without the need for the Real Networks awful software!

I think the general public (well, at least outside of America) realise what a hell hole it is now right there, and how GWB has managed to stick a huge great big stick into the proverbial hornets nest.

But as long as the companies owned by his good friends are making a nice tidy sum on the rebuilding of the country whilst innocent people and soldiers continue to get picked off by islamic extremists on a daily basis then fine. I wouldn't exactly say i'm pleased with the way its going over there though.

Less talk and more action. When companies TALK about doing something, but actually don't seem to actually be DOING a lot of anything, people lose interest.

Creative have been at this for long enough, and I don't see why they don't just channel all this hype up into a bloody good product rather than releasing products which try and keep up with what Apple are doing. Nothing of theirs that I have seen so far has been particularly innovative - just one big game of catchup.

Make the killer product ffs and then wow us with it..
