  9. Bullshit on How The Government Spies On Your Internet Use · · Score: 1

Please tell me the average reader isn't that dumb to fall for this crap. Republicans want to rape midicare! Bush reading evervyone's email! The number of auhtorized wiretaps last year probably didn't pass 1000. Most federal agents spend their time following leads provided by good old human phone calls. We are taking about the same agencies who rarely hire and where the average agent barely know how to turn on a PC.

Result: Stronger software. Instead of wasting time paying people trained to create things to discover the flaws that destroy things, you hire specialists who have the correct mindset.

Unfortunatly they are also more dangerous than cars on US roads.

I'd like to see the greenines push a more reliable, inexpensive and realistic solution to the problem.

  14. Phonetic Passwords on Password Memorability and Securability · · Score: 4, Interesting

I used to work on a military installation with really elaborate guidelines for choosing passwords. It would usually take me at least a dozen times to choose a valid, unused password. My buddy had a trick that would get him a good password every time. Being fluent in Korean, he would come up with a phrase in Korean and spell it out phoenetically to produce a new password. I wonder how many foreign language workers in the US do the same thing?

  15. Better idea..... on NASA's New 'Exploration' Insignia · · Score: -1, Redundant

Picture an endless stream of dollars being sucked into a black hole. Not that I have anything against NASA, but the Space Shuttle was a waste of money from day 1. I'd rather see a space hotel with rentable research rooms before an international space station piece-of-crap-waste-of-money.

Until they are old enough to recognize the truth and have the societal roots to care about living more than dying, the murder will continue.
