What you're looking for is the LG TM250/VX3100. It's tiny, sounds decent, and theoretically has up to 240 hours of standby time, although I've only managed to get three to four days on a single charge out of the stock 950 mAH battery that it comes with. I don't feel like dropping money on the extended 1500 mAH battery, but there is one available if you desperately want to make your phone last for a week on end without charging. My only gripe is that the ringer's sometimes hard to hear among background noise, even on full blast.
I know it's retarded, but I've heard of it happening. I can only hope for the sake of the good of all mankind that those were just rumours and urban legends and not a recounting of actual events.
There have been tons of much better XBox mods. Not only is this one completely unimpressive, it's even butt-ass fugly. It would have been better if MjO's "xXx" mod was posted here.
Excuse me, whose rights online? I know I don't feel the least bit oppressed.
Am I to believe that there's a large enough segment of Slashdot users who would drive around downloading child porn to make this a "your rights online" issue?
A new (uncompatible) protocol that's compatible with most of the major 3rd party clients, even. Really, there's much less of a story here than the title leads you to believe.
However, it still lets you install them. My guess is that this will probably be the same way, perhaps with a "stop barfing!" checkbox that you can check to make it shut up.
I think they're all thinking about it because of what Taco wrote in the article summary. While I'm sure that a few people at least would be discussing the legal issues of making homemade Silly Putty, it wouldn't be nearly this many if there wasn't a "joke" about it in the story.
Yeah, they're doing a damn good job of shutting them down. Just now I test-downloaded Eminem's Lose Yourself, and it only reached a top speed of 110 KB/s. Additionally, there was only 5,753,344 GB of data being shared by 3.6 million users at the time I was logged on, according to the status bar.
I'm real worried about Kazaa's future with numbers like that.
From a strictly technical perspective, you would be buying a set of data which, when accessed by the correct program, would play back Eminem's Without Me with a certain degree of accuracy.
When you download it for free, the data may contain Without Me, but it could also contain anything else, and at any quality. If you were to buy it, you would (I would think) be buying the assurance that the file you download will have the song you wanted, at a high quality level.

This is one of the few Longhorn/Palladium-related posts that isn't brain-shatteringly stupid, and I thank you for it.
I hear there are cafes there where you do just that.
This is another good picture of the Martian atmosphere.
FuhQuake? Sounds like a dirty word to me.
Oh yeah? I wrote my resumes in the snow. By walking around in my Daddy's pyjamas. Eight and a half by fifteen miles, it was, uphill for every letter!

they're still too expensive to risk destroying.
Tell that to the guy who tried it with two. Ouch.

What'd be sweet is a price drop on the Panasonic Q. But first they'd have to release it in the North American market, probably.

Wow, this guy invented a soft-reset key sequence and made it hard to press by accident</dramatic>? Stop the presses.
You would do well to poke around this site for a while.
Try as I might, my brain can't make any sense of your username using the same concept.

You'd make a horseshoe.
Wow, you're really reaching for the top there, aren't you?
It should be heatsink, unless you want something that makes your heat keep perfect time.
Y3K? We still have 97 years before Y2K strikes!
...Wow, before previewing I didn't realise that my sig was a bad Y2K joke as well. Goes to show where my humour comes from.
So? people trying to guess your password will still use the strongest option, unless you tell them "I only use letters in my password!"

Well, the RIAA buys the rights to Eminem's music, while the consumer buys CDs with Eminem's music on them. There's a world of difference.
"Terminatrix" LOL!!@@@@@@@@@
I should be slapped
