The logic I put forth does not support giving the police more power. I simply state that having undercover officers has some good to it. Any power can be abused and thus needs checks and balances. If there was a better way then I would support it... And don't think I believe in the whole: if you don't do anything wrong then you have nothing to hide crap either. I believe in privacy of public citizens.
Name calling tells me your young and you will learn in time what it takes to keep a civilized world together.
So your saying that when police use undercover agents to bust kiddie porn rings, dangerous drug production labs, terrorist type groups and other similar things that are bad for society that you would rather they didn't bust them using a method that allows them to potentially find a larger number of members than those they would have caught by doing a single raid on a facility?
And to the point about police safety, I think anything that keeps anyone safe is a good thing. There is no need to point out there are more dangerous jobs. Its like saying that the taxi driver doesn't need a seat belt because the construction worker has a more dangerous job.
I think it may be up to web developers (me, you, and the other guy) to use the newest standards that are supported by the other browsers (Opera, Firefox, Safari) and to stop supporting IE to any extent other than basic page layouts. I know its often dictated by business to support IE, and you still would be, but not to the extent that it has been. Telling people that a site will be better in a alternate browser may be a good choice in this as well.
What you are looking for are called Scenerio games (paintball). They run 12 - 48 hours and there can be upwards of 2000 players in the biggest and best games. You are given missions and sometimes special roles (medic, spy, etc). They go non stop day and night, your choice if you want to sleep or not... look them up, there are lots of them around during the year depending on your location.

I just picked up X3: Reunion without knowing that it included this Starforce software. I would not have purchased it had I known this. I will be writing both Egosoft and the publisher about this.
Here is a reply by Egosoft on their own forums to concerns about Starforce:
Starforce is picked by the publisher, not Egosoft. You should be writing this to either Deepsilver or Enlight, depending where you are. So no, you've not proved that Egosoft used Starforce. The publisher did.
Likening Starforce to the whole Sony/root-kit thing is a little silly, as Starforce is clearly named as the CP in the game's manual. You're told it's gonna install.
Almost all discussions on CP turn into discussions of piracy, and as a result this thread is being pre-emptively locked. If you have a problem with the CP, feel free to register your game and post the issue in the sticky in the Tech Support forum.
I can't see that happening, giving up on IE would show people that its not viable for anything anymore and they would lose people who wouldn't come back for the "new" IE browser.
If they did buy Opera, I would stop using it in a second and go with Firefox. I would be very sad to lose such an amazing browser. Thankfully, I don't see this as a problem.
When you're searching for fingerprints (a computationally-intensive task) you don't put every image up on the screen - you don't even store imagery, you store an encoding of the fingerprint and compare encodings (numbers). In reality it's done by humans, not computers.
They do store the images of the finger prints... they use a program to manually plot the points using a computer, then another person does the exact same finger print without knowing the points the first person picked. They do this because not everyone always picks the same points or may miss one or two. Its a very time consuming process and takes hours to do a few prints, compared to the seconds it takes on TV. How do I know this? Its done here in the building I work in:)
I will NEVER buy anything related to Activa Holdings Inc. If that is how they behave when someone challenges them, then I will not support their company or any company that works with them. Since I'm in the market for a house, I will make sure that my future house was not built or supported by any company related to Activa Holdings Inc.. If they feel they have been wronged by what was posted on the website, maybe they should show how it is wrong. By sueing, its saying to me that they have something to hide. I hope there will be a way to give and support the fight against Activa. Companies that sue like this, are not companies that we need.
I would think that the new e-paper technologies would be better suited as they maintain the image with the power off. This would enable the keyboard to only use power while the keys are changed (or if they are animated), and of course the wireless portion would use power.
If they get these out on the market (using e-paper tech) for under $300 CAN I would buy one asap.
Way to go, attack potential buyers of your software. Thats a sure-fire way of scaring off anyone even remotely interested in what you offer. Being hostile so openly doesn't make you look like the victim in this and will only make people question your stability. I know I won't be looking at his product anytime soon.
So they "shut down" the system case of attack, meanwhile the very police/fire/ambulance/rescue/etc.. forces that use GPS systems everyday (regular civilian models) to do there jobs will be unable to do there jobs as effectively and this will result in delayed response or no response to emergencies. Are they fucking stupid?
Like the others have said, Canon A75. The A80 is a very good camera, but a little more money. I have the A70 and I love it as a simple point and shoot and that I still have manual control when desired.
If they can get me a wide screen format CRT Monitor for my computer then I'll pick one up. Otherwise I'm waiting for prices to come down more on LCD screens.

Although I really love the explosions :) I endorse your idea of them doing an episode with a do it at home theme. Mod UP parent.

As for vehicles? Well 2k4's the first to have them and there's a decent variety.
First for Unreal, not the first FPS. I don't know what was first, but the best done has to be Tribes/2.
Count me in.. if you really want to do something, just send me an email.

That loss of coolant incident was only a spill onto the containment floor, the reactor was still cooled as normal.
Cute Single Girl - Free (or maybe a dinner, keeps you in their company longer :)
Anyone else - $20 for simple things like spyware removal (about a half hour of work) $50 for system re-do's.

You hit the nail on the head with your post. I agree with it all and yet I see nothing of the sort. Too bad really.
has a release date of:
Pre-Order: Estimated Release Date:September 14, 2004
So uhmmm, not sure about anything anymore. Canada getting it later? Or just Futureshop being more pessimistic?
... a great GTA map! Lots of interesting places and varied locals. They really need to launch a map/mod editing tool for GTA3(VC).

Well, yes in a way I guess I am saying that.
Maybe not as extreme as dieing, but its like people that have a close call (almost died) and then look at life in a different way after.
