Your experience sounds lovely and relaxing, and we should all strive to do this once in a while, but it's not practical as a sustained way of avoiding specific technology vendors when your solution is to avoid all technology.
This is 2018. The word "software" has fallen out of favour with news media and has been replaced with two terms; "app" and "AI".
Since the software on this dedicated chip likely doesn't fit the minimum criteria to be called an "app" (isn't downloaded from an app store, and doesn't present a GUI), it must therefore be called an "AI".
Mine will have paid for itself after three years of ownership. And that's with the cost of power factored in.
And that's *not* factoring in the massive drop in maintenance required (spark plugs, oil changes, coolant flushes, regen-less brake pad wear, engine mounts, etc, etc).
I know this autopilot isn't *actually* a self-driving system and shouldn't be treated as such, but in most jurisdictions blue flashing lights behind you is a legal requirement to pull over.
Do Google's self-driving cars respond correctly in this situation?
Vim.
No sane person should ever use vi.
Now Vim, on the other hand...
Sorry I didn't realise you needed your politicians to be interesting.
I would have thought in recent times you would be craving a bit of boredom in the political realm.
No. It means individual freedom, but for everyone rather than freedom with responsibility.
FTFY
The fewer of these resistive heaters we have sucking otherwise useful energy and further warming our planet the better.
So you took a holiday, good for you.

Isn't the President's power of veto overruled by a more-than two-thirds majority?
ie he can only veto something that has a majority between 50% and 66.67%
I understood that reference.
Well, yes, but that's kind of the point:
Not all phones are ideal.
Well, Pierre might have, if he hadn't gotten himself run over.
Well, Oracle did buy the company that said that, so you might be on to something there :)
Let me explain:

Yeah, me too.
Well, then make it *not* beyond most people.
Sorry, do you actually believe that, or are you just repeating some obscure meme?
"Scrupulously careful driving habits" do not begin to describe the problems with automated cars.
And yet Kanye West's music videos persist on the medium.
$30k?
Do you not have a second-hand EV market where you live?
Second hand they're a lot less than that.
Mine will have paid for itself after three years of ownership. And that's with the cost of power factored in.

I assume he'll also be ending subsidies for fossil fuels, right?
Do you support your grandparent's network hardware with that mouth?
Cod am pizza ship.

Yes, most SJW's I know are not in the slightest interested in civility.
Come to think of it, they don't seem all that interested in actual equality either.
Carry on.
Thanks, I'm glad someone did :)
Good idea. I'd happily drive an electric carbon-fiber Charger.
Molly guard FTW
I'm no fan of Amazon as a company, but that bastard Oracle deserves to lose all his customers.
I only hope other locked-in companies watch the Amazon transition with great interest.
