My 8yr old daughter loves the sims, but do you think I can get her to get ready for school in the morning on time or clean up without being asked or...;)
If your users (readers) need the google cache then there are system problems. Either the technical systems are inadequate (yay slashdot) or your business systems are inadequate (or both). Tech is easy, and so are business systems. Well at least the ones you want simple every-day folks to use...
Forget fire control for a moment, you have a construction material and/or site layout/placement problems.
If you are building in a fire prone area consider partially or majorly covering the building in earth. (A side benefit is your heating energy provider will hate you.) If the fire was an "accident" then you most definetly have a materials problem. Wood, while very attractive and cheap to buy & work with, is fuel. eg: Would you use compressed "fire retarded" straw or paper as a building material? (I wouldn't) It is supposed to be more fire-resistant than wood.!?
Consider naturally inert and fire resistant materials like concrete & bricks.
Then high risk/expense/maintainance fire suppression systems like halon become pointless. Ordinary smoke detectors can then be sufficient.
Using halon is such overkill and may even accidentally kill one of you loved ones. It's like having loaded 9mm handguns at convienent, accessable places around the (wood & paper) house to combat a roach problem when all you had to do was clean up your filth.
But I'm more of a 6-week-Roman-orgy & throwing-christians-to-the-lions kind of guy. I guess I won't be Jesus either... but hey - who wants to (relive) wander(ing) around in the desert with a bunch of nerds...
Instead of the lame little (even at 21inch) CRT, why not get a reasonable LCD projector and a screen a few feet in front of the beast and look out the windscreen at it? Like they do with some real simulators...
It might be just you. I get pegged by snipers running. I can pick the lead by which you snipe a moving target (with any of the rifles), it's just that it takes 3 hits (or more) to kill. You're a sniper & you're aiming at the chest? that's why you "miss" all the time, go for the head! One shot no prob! Sniping in DoD is too easy...
You may be missing the point, he machine's turn-around-time is 1 hour(ish) the best you can get is 1 day from the fab co's. Secondly @$80 a board you will quickly pay for the milling machine, if you have need for it. I like it because @ 1:00am when I'm ready to do the board - I can... and how many things geek are done "because I can"?
Granted it's only double sided - but at that it's wonderful. Wow, no more chemicals! I've always-forever wanted one of these but the pro milling machines are out of my league.
but if you have a database you could employ a technique for
clustering sessions via a database no? so as usual 'best practices' depends on knowing what you are doing...

"I can't possibly understand how a switch to intel processors can possibly benefit Apple..."
I can think of two off the to of my head.
1) Doing a win32 Layer (wine style, with no real windows install) would be much easier. Imagine running any win32 or mac software transparently and at FULL speed on ya mac.
2) A $400 mac....
But I can see the main reason not to would be something like:
The killer: Take into consideration processor/OS speed. A x86 running win2000 is generally faster than the same box running RHx. Given that Yellow Dog is a RH variant and that YD runs generally faster than OSX on the same hardware, you could deduce that OSX on x86 will run way slower than win2000. Ouch!
Granted, in the dry it will have good grip.
get an IBM mouse that comes with their PC line, it's just as you want...
Mars Mission Docco
btw: I'm an extra in it ;)
is now H2O.99999999
So posting a story to /. is what? testing the fixes?

So when you add them together I get- WTF!!!

think of it like a buffer overflow... that the pill causes.....
Indeed, even if the centrino proves all the PentiumIII v Pentium4 "trolls" right all along ;)
Umm...try this...

Fair enough in principle, but what unique features & goodies are there in safari? Is it not "just a wrapper" to WebCore?
Today just marks the day when Sep-11 tradgies occur frequently.
So if after all the hype dies down and it does some "unforseen" things, will the condition be known as Leonitis, or will you just be Leon(d)?
I do - but only from playing BF1942 Desert Combat....
