I would expect a good amount of data homogenization (i.e. treating the towns as tile-based maps rather than 3D models as in the PS2 version) would probably contribute to keeping down the streaming.
I don't think they really "get" the latest reasons everyone hates EA. They're buying out everyone in sight, burning out their coders, and casting them inside. They hire students out of college with ideals and goals in life, burn them out, and cast them aside as well.
This isn't about originality, how original can you make a fucking sports game anyway?
(Speedball and Mutant League * fans -- I love them too. They're not sports sims. Sorry)
Well, considering this project famously said they would have tunnelling done before Christmas, their progress seems a bit slow. They have what, five days left?
Sounds to me like someone is bitter with Warp Pipe and wants to try and steal theirs and XLink's thunder by announcing a project that never will be.
Don't worry, the only people who went up to accept awards and talk were publishers. I liked how for Halo 2, when it came down to the music guy and the Microsoft representative, the Microsoft representative grabs the award, makes a snide comment, and takes off.
I stopped buying Palm machines after my PalmPilot Professional's OS became out of date, and Palm refused to offer any kind of upgrade to OS 3.0, which every application then required.
Been happily Palm-free for almost their entire existence. It syncs adequately with my Mac and Linux boxes over serial, which is the only reason I haven't turned it into a drink coaster or stripped it for its MC68000 yet.
9/10 of my work over the summer was to fix Palm Desktop so it would work with XP. I would call each and every Palm user every week to see if their machine had melted yet.
Praise the Mord we haven't upgraded to SP2 yet, although as a result the company changed standards to Dell Axims. Perhaps the reason Palm is doing so poorly is because the Palm Desktop software just plain sucks.
This is pretty much what the whole TEMPEST dealie was about, wasn't it? I'd wager the same thing happens with a GBA LCD if you strip off the case and shielding bits.
I really like how the forum-goers keep claiming it's a secret feature from Nintendo.
Well, once we get the Pictochat protocol down we can sniff people's vapid IM conversations. Plus, the DS supports multi-boot so eventually we might be able to force game code onto it.
I think journalistic language has shifted so instead of typing "he/she" they just type "she" nowadays. I noticed it in a couple of other computer magazines.
It's either lazy typists, new English standards, or some sort of feminist brainwashing.
Damn. It's Windows-only, I was hoping I'd get to play with more features of my brand-new T610 than Salling Clicker and the Bluetooth agent will provide under OS X.
I think they admit that the FTP program and sockets libraries are from BSD. When it makes better software, I'm all for Microsoft taking standard code. Imagine the nightmare that would have happened if they reinvented TCP/IP because they couldn't grab the BSD sockets code!
Well, think of Halo 2 as a massively stripped down Marathon, with vehicles and online play. H2 is even closer to the Bungie FPS ideal than Halo, which I was happy to note.
Not as bad as the mini Dell DJ, but part of the appeal of the iPod is, the simple and minimal appearance. This thing looks like a sci-fi explosion, like most MP3 players these days.
It will become one of the most popular game consoles on earth. Why is it that Sony can make crappy console hardware, release sub-par sequels and treat their developers like garbage and still be the company on top?

Well, they'll still get paid for flogging old nForce motherboards at them..

EA, it looks like...

Actually, they've now discovered the sole real use for the Tablet PC. Inkball is fun as hell.
Or at least go for the maximum irony and turn infected machines into spam-flinging zombies.
I mean, seriously. No sense of style.

Only Mortal is a fine enough server browser for most Mac games, and GameRanger is still available if I remember right.

I want a jet pack.
Not to mention it looks prettier than most chess pieces. Ooh, shiny!
Don't count on the "market penetration" bit; their new smaller PStwo units also have disc drive failures similar to the standard units.

Is "collateral babies" the official terminology, or just something you came up with? It would be an awesome name for a band.
Worked out real great for them last time. Why bother?

The battery life is a bit worse, too.

But this is why I use Debian. That, and I really like upgrading things. Yup.
