I think one of the reasons they intended to put a router in the system, is so they could have control over how the router's firewall worked. Several online games have issues with the way that routers block ports. i've contacted customor support for final fantasy xi and world of warcraft with some problems, and they always tell me to unplug my router and feed the cable mode directly to my computer. Fat chance of me keeping that way.
perhaps the developers of the ps3 thought they could control the router functions on a per-game basis, i.e opening and closing ports, and then users wouldnt have as big a problem if people used that for their router. Although who knows if they had that much foresight.
This reminds me of a little detective game i used to play on the Apple IIe when i was a kid called Oregon Trail. Granted it too was edutainment but it was a fun game. And yes there was no shooting, punching or violence of any kind, and this was back in 1985.
I think game publishers need to accept that a game does not need to have violence to be entertaining.
FFxi now supports resolutions of 1080I (2048*1080), as I sometimes play it from my computer onto my tv at those resolutions. no updates are really *necessary* to the game for this support.
M$ should be in enough legal trouble by all the harm they cause as a desktop os (mental anguish, frustration, injuries by flying pieces of hardware.) I'd hate to see all the legal problems they have from road accidents.

Google is more than free. it saves countless time trying to find someting on yahoo or other search engines, like we did before google. thats money to me.
This is a direct attack to dell's marketing of just a simple server. Market research has shown that sys admins want bells and whistles rather than just plain server boxes, and this is ibm's answer to sell the servers and the software in a convienent package that can actually do something with little input. It also points towards a more distributed model of computing. people want their data automatically stored securely off their workstations because you never know when windoze is gonna crash, but you can be sure that your important docs are recoverable from any location.
If you get a cs degree, your bound to get some math... calculus and a class in discrete to say the least are prereqs for higher level classes. Yet the math and proofs to me are boring and if you understand them at a higher level then you can get by. Instead of studying more math think of studying something else... sure more math will help the way you think, but equally so a minor in biology, psychology, or even something oddball like english will be a better asset when looking for a job. I found that when i told interviewers that i got a minor in psychology and a major in cs they were much more interested than when i just talked about my cs major. Focusing on something that is less removed from cs gives you a different perspective when approaching problems and is a higly marketable skill. So go ahead, try something else that interests you rather than taking another cs or math course, unless the only thing you like is cs or math.:-D
you mean have a cup of green tea, a glass is for cold beverages, an cup usually made of ceramic material is typically used for hot beverages, or as in the case of green tea...warm, but not hot. Unless your talking about ice green tea, then you would drink that in a glass.
