What if the next windows worm searches out for someone's legal mp3 collection and then connects to a p2p network and shares it out, all unknown to the user?
Seriously, why doesn't someone do this? That'd make it really hard for the RIAA to just fire off random lawsuits (especially if the worm hit their own offices).
If you like the Evil Dead triology, give Bruce's book (If Chins Could Kill : Confessions of a B Movie Actor) a try. It's a really good read with lots of interesting/funny stories and it even has some pictures (for those of you who graduated from my high school and still can't read)!
I don't know of that episode, but I remember a short story where the same thing happened except it was phrased "It will kill someone that doesn't know you." The person did, and the button killed their spouse claiming that their spouse really didn't know them if they were willing to push the button.

So wait, I really get to type F U World in a command?
The sentinals were knocked AWAY from Neo and Trinity. Naiobi's shipped approached from the same direction the sentinals were knocked back. Maybe the EMP came from Naiobi's ship.
Actually they've been working on it for several years now and it's complete. Sadly it is all on paper and it will take that long for them to type it in.
We're now trying to set up [an online] repository of which state agencies are using open source and for what projects
So you're going to create a database telling people exactly what software government agencies use and give them the code. Does anyone else see this as a security risk?
I have Ice Ice Baby as my ring tone (it has the extra ting at the end). And you can be damn straight I get stared at in a crowd when it goes off - some laugh, some laugh and point. They just don't understand the genius that is Vanilla Ice. Err...Wait a minute...
/.ers made a plan:
1. No Carrier Jokes
2. Overlord Jokes
3. Russia Jokes
4. ???
5. Profit!
dammit, they got me doing it.
Actually it says "Intel Xeon, 80GHz RAM, 20GB1 Utlra ATA Hard Drive"
What I like most about computers of the future is that they only have 20GB of hard drive space, and can some how use 80 Giga-Hertz of RAM.
Anyone else notice that in one of the pics it says "Here's room for text but I don't thing we need it."?
Did Microsoft hire a Slashdot editor?
But isn't your cat the one who elected Bush?
yeah, I probably am trolling.
Well, according to the elementry Chaos Theory, the robots won't go berserk for at least twenty-four hours.
...Oh, I forgot to carry the one.
However, if you just want to send flaming messages, that's a different story.
Insert obligatory "You're new to slashdot, aren't you?" comment.
Of course it can wait. No Senators get paid off when a murderer goes to jail. But if a company makes money, then everyone* profits!
*Your definition of everyone may vary from that of the US Senate and Large Corporations

You're ignoring the simple truth: There is no violence.

Or blame the feeling on that his mind is somehow diffent and more machine like (giving him the ability to control The Matrix, a big machine).

You mean: patent pending proving porno prince provided pop-ups preceding previous prior-art?
Actually, I thought it was a geeky Vin Diesel.

Coding more difficult for two legs? Nah, these guys jacked the source code from god...something about using a sendmail exploit...
With the milk example, you are then eating homemade cheese, enjoy!
That's why I make it policy to only keep one finger on me at all times...
The PS9 (from a comercial for PS2) was also spherical, and it finally had the ability to replicate smells.

His death cry as he fell: "Beeeeeeeeeeee Foooooooouuuuuurrrrrteeeeeeeeeeennnn" *splat*
Correct me if I'm wrong, but don't you mean PS2? I thought PS/2 was a connector for keyboards and mice.
