Basically, DVD-RW format did not exist when your player was built. Your player is probably able to read the disk but won't because it doesn't recognize the format. You need to trick it into thihking the disk is a plain DVD-Rom, and it should read it. (and that's what bitsetting does)
I really don't remember that game, but note it has just been re-released by Nintendo for the Famicom Mini, a GBA add on that plays nes classic games.
An exact port of the Famicom/NES classic game for the Game Boy Advance handheld system in commemoration of the 20th Anniversary legacy of the original Nintendo Famicom system (and the release of the Famicom Edition Game Boy Advance SP system). There's only one way to collect the vegetables that the condor has placed on one of 32 challenging platform-based mountains, and that's by going all the way up! -- ign
Blank CD tax.. wait till you see the blank DVD tax.
Here are the current fees: 3. (1) Subject to subsection (2), the levy rates shall be (a) 29c for each audio cassette of 40 minutes or more in length; (b) 21c for each CD-R or CD-RW; (c) 77c for each CD-R Audio, CD-RW Audio or MiniDisc;
The proposed rate at one point was 2.75$ per DVD?R and DVD?RW
I think they've come to their senses in the current proposed levee.
Still.. a 59c tax for a 33c disk. That's insane.
Ultimately, CPCC proposes rates of 51 for each audiocassette, 59c for each CD-R of 100 megabytes (Mbs) or more, 49c for each CD-RW of 100 Mbs or more, $1.15 for each CD-R Audio and CD-RW Audio or MiniDisc, and 65c for each blank DVD. source: http://cb-cda.gc.ca/decisions/c12122003 -b.pdf
For removable electronic memory cards, or a removable hard drive, CPCC sought a rate from 0.221c to 0.55c for each Mb. non-removable memory incorporated into a music device, or a hard drive incorporated into a music device, CPCC proposed rates from 0.193c to 1.08c for each Mb depending on capacity.
110$ for a 40Gb removable HD used in a MP3 player. and 442$ for a non-removable. I'll drive across the border to buy my device.

We're in the process of rebuilding Zonker's adaptation of Ultima IV. We need more players! We're missing a second DM and players for Dupre, Katrina, Jaana and Mariah.

that should have been a "c - cedille" and not a regular c on the second term. (which would either translate to "dumb soup" or "suspicion", depending if the right character is used)
First, the reindex that happened a few months ago removed all cross-reference with accents. (where google would find the same number of links for both the word and the unaccentuated word... right now: soupcon: 9,750 - soupcon: 88,500)
Then, when searching for anything regarding ras error messages, I get 30 links from spammer and then the real stuff. Example: 711 error yields multiple links for similar pages... "Your one stop resource for all things error 711 remote access connection management related.... error 711 remote access connection management.... "
Vintage Google.. in Net years, that's 15-16 months ago, right?
Sorry. I'm just tired of this overhyping game. Movies, hardware, software... Marketdroids just keep raising our expectations. And that happens each time a new product hits the shelves.
"Oh.. don't buy that. Company X is releasing a better faster quicker cheaper equivalent in a few months. Here are the specs and the benchmarks of that widget that is still in pre-design phase."
It's a marketting war and I was just giving my two cents.
Publicity and stuff usually goes to press.. He's "just" a review site, it seems. Anyway, I should link to stuff like that. I'm in canada. (cough cough)
Of course, when that same bank depends on IT resources directly provided by one of the parties of the gamble, I call that playing around with fire and gasoline.
I fell off my chair when I read the original article. But of course, with companies that size, the left hand often ignores what the right does...
I'd really like to see a PSO server up... Is there any team working on one? This happened for Ultima Online and last time I checked, the community was still going strong.
So this is what I want for xmas, santa.
-PSO server software.
-Translation of ANY of the Atelier games to english. I still can't play that one.
Just take a look at bitsetting. It addresses exactly that problem.
Simple explanation here

Like Gollum at the oscars, right?
That would have tipped the scale for virtual accomplishments..
I guess the academy did not want to be the first.
There's a little flaw to that 20 years deadline. Ever heard of Sony Bono and the Copyright deadlines?
They might start applying that to patents too.

(gawd that was awful)
sure, for the box.
what about the screen?
Color TV: 250 watts
CRT: 110 watts
LCD: 30-40 watts.
There you go. Global power consumption goes down.
(not according to my desk though.. three monitors, a scanner, two printers and a hairdryer)
Yes indeed.
Too bad the water is wasted by it.
Why do they do the water when it's used.. ship it in space?
(of course, maybe we could just read the article..)
That's because there's no money in retailing the gas itself anymore.
Yet we see more and more stations with debit/credit card payments right at the pump.
Ahh.. paradox..
and of course, a quick peek at imdb.com/robots.txt could explain why...

It also includes "User-agent: *" about halfway through, but the list was different at some time..

Japanese kids these days are using their cell phones to scan articles in magazines and not pay for them.
I'd doubt that the magazine publishers would move to magnetic ink just for them.
today: search for soupcon and soupc,on (with the cedille) both yield the same number of results..
Let's forget about bug reports on google.
We just need to report the bugs on slashdot!!

Compared to a gameboy it would kick arse
that's what I would use it for anyway.
That, and a remote for my home theater
too many possibilites..
Diego is still alive when you meet him... sorta.
I really like the emails coming in. Or Shodan's messages coming right after the "click... blaaaaaaaam!"
I need to play that game again.. or at least load up the sountrack again. Only got the "Glory to the many" song in my head..
So it's a conspiracy to eliminate the french.

So that's how it's going to work. Kill the current market by spreading specs and rumors.
100$ for a 2gb lightweight device by apple? amazing indeed.
Just like the Playstation 2's specs killed the Dreamcast.
Sorry, I'm just bitter.
I probably just need more brandy in my coffee.
Merry Xmas

Start at it too long from one side, and the other side slowly becomes either red or blue depending on time.
Of course, color and spin conservation would apply.
