Until alll chip manufacturers can get their small nanometers working reliably and Windows 7 support is restored there is no reason to upgrade. Removing features has been going on for a while now. Look at how many computers still come with 32GB storage when back in 2004 40GB hard drives were considered low end. Any true performance increases will be eaten up by millenialscript apps anyway..

I reckon Amazon with it's large AWS/S3 infrastructure and it's large amount of books could source a more reliable free encyclopedia.

  17. There is currently only one Google result for "microsoft edge is evil". Time to correct that "problem". Edge is a failed browser, people remember IE, and don't want its new "incarnation" so are ignoring it droves. If only Mozilla wasn't evil either by murdering XUL. People don't want the six monthly "Windows as a service" model. All this wasted time installing updates constantly. I wasted SIX HOURS updating a laptop yesterday. Follow the Ubuntu model of releasing LTS versions every two years, and make it available to everyone one, not some obscure enterprise only version like LTSB is. Microsoft is already doing this with Windows Server 2019, so replace Windows 10 with Windows Desktop 2019 as well. If Microsoft doesn't do this it can deal with people using Windows 7 and even XP into the late 2020s.

  23. IE is going on until least 2026 thanks to Windows 10 LTSB. also Windows Server 2019 betas still come with IE. IE is still required for legacy enterprise apps and businesses would rather pay for Windows 7 updates than update their apps.
